I thought she'd had them cut off, so I know I can't be the only one wondering what is actually causing the 'protrusions'..

You became less of what you were the moment you've decided to break the law. Public apology should not do any good just because you're someone famous. The authorities in-charge should revoke her license, the law must apply to all including those who claim to be human.
You are not the only person affected by this event. And this event is very important for our country. So this is not a question of who is the 1st class, 2nd class or no class. This is a question of the rules being implemented during the event.
