PECO(以下ーー)

Antisocial Psychopathy

-I once read a psychological explanation on Jolie's lengthy homewrecking history - why does she do it?
It went something like this:

Well, she's essentially a man hater. She doesn't like herself much either, but she despises her father, not only for abandoning her but also for cheating on her idealized mother. So she feels unlovable and unworthy, so she subconsciously goes after and seduces married or other unavailable men. If they are seduced and fall into her game - she "proves" that men are adulterous cheaters who deserve punishment, which reassures her that she is right about her daddy. In seducing men, she also alleviates her own terror of being unlovable or unworthy.

I think it would e fair to say that she has antisocial and heavy narcissistic traits on top of her BPD.

-There is very little doubt that Jolie was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder. She was voluntarily sectioned off at the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute in the late '90's due to suicidal and homicidal ideation. She was diagnosed there - she meets at least 7 of 9 criteria.

1. frantic efforts to avoid real or imagined abandonment. Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5.
-Admitted n psych ward after break up with Billy Bob due to mental breakdown

2. a pattern of unstable and intense interpersonal relationships characterized by alternating between extremes of idealization and devaluation.
-Live in boyfriend at age 14
-Seduced her mothers boyfriend and slept with him at age 16 - mother kicks her out
-Marries Johnny Lee Miller, who was already attached. Divorces him not long after. Jolie cheated on Miller with Jenny Shimizu (Jolie weds Miller wearing black leather pants and a white top with his name scrawled on the back in Jolie's own blood).
-Jolie claims she discovers that she is bisexual (Identity disturbance)
-Begins dating Jenny - on and off for few years
-Jolie sleeps with Ethan Hawke while he is engaged to Uma Thurman - causing a break up and Thurman publically calls Jolie "the town pump" - due to Jolie's promiscuity
-Jolie beds more: Ralph Fiennes, Colin Farrel, Leo DiCaprio, and others
-Gets involved with Billy Bob (while he was dating Laura Dern), tatoos his name on her left shoulder, wears a vial of his blood, marries Thornton in Vegas rapidly which stuns Dern, again wears unusually dark themed clothes for wedding-with writing on it with her own blood
-Rumored to bed more Hollywood men - Nick Cage, Timothy Hutton and seduces Mick Jagger but rejects him promptly
-Begins adulterous relationship with 'Mr & Mrs. Smith co-star Brad Pitt, who at time was married to Jen Aniston; lies about affair and begins an intense smear campaign against Aniston
-Volatile relationship with her father - Jolie is ruthlessly unforgiving of her father - blaming him for abandoning her and cheating on her mother; however, Jolie looks past the fact her mother abandoned her at the age of 2, keeping Jolie to be looked after by a rotating group of nannies while her brother, James, remains under his mothers care (Splitting at its best - Jolie splits her parents - she idealizes her mother while completely diminishing her father - all good mom vs all bad dad)

3. identity disturbance: markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self.
-Suddenly discovers she is bisexual
-Repeatedly claims she gets so absorbed by her roles that she loses sense of who she is, even claiming (interview on 'Inside the Actors Studio') that after a role she is acting is over she becomes depressed because she "I have no personality"
-Went from dark, death & blood obsessed, vixen/femme fatale, serial homewrecker, wild child to mother, humanitarian & wife - very abruptly
-Former long-time bodyguard tells InTouch magazine that : "Angelina has a public and a private persona"

4. impulsivity in at least two areas that are potentially self-damaging (e.g., spending, sex, substance abuse, reckless driving, binge eating). Note: Do not include suicidal or self-mutilating behavior covered in Criterion 5.
-Drug abuse (heroin addiction)
-Sexually promiscuous
-Eating issues (possible eating disorder)

5. recurrent suicidal behavior, gestures, or threats, or self-mutilating behavior
-In June 2001 Angelina Jolie revealed to Rolling Stone magazine that during her very early teens she began "thinking about not wanting to be around. It was when the reality of life set in, the reality of surviving."
-Chronically suicidal since age 12
-Numerous attempts to take her own life (overdose on pills - several attempts, sliced her body so badly trying to cut her jugular and she was almost successful, and once hiring a hitman to kill her):
In her own words: "This is going to sound so insane, but there was a time when I realized I was going to have to hire somebody to kill me. It comes from a place o… With suicide comes the guilt of all the people around you thinking that they could have done something. With somebody being murdered, nobody takes some kind of guilty responsibility."
-Self-mutilation from age 13-early 20's: In 2000 Angelina explained in Maxim magazine: "You’re young, you’re crazy, you’re in bed and you’ve got knives. So $#%^ happens." But in 1999 Access Hollywood interview she explained it in more detail: "I was..trying to feel something….I was looking at different things..thinking romantically about…about blood. I really hurt myself," and also she was quoted as saying: "I was just….a kid. I was like 13, And, I was saying that it is not something that is cool. It's not cool. And I understand that it is a cry for help…"

6. affective instability due to a marked reactivity of mood (e.g., intense episodic dysphoria, irritability, or anxiety usually lasting a few hours and only rarely more than a few days).
-Repeated comments from close persons that she goes from utter despair to happy in short time (comments made by father, former employees, former nannies/caretakers, etc)
-Bodyguard claims she has "temper like a cobra"
-From the InTouch interview with bodyguard:
'In my opinion, the real Angelina is self-centered and a control freak. She has no patience at all. She doesn’t do things out of the kindness of her heart. And she’s totally psycho.' While Brad is laid-back and patient with his kids’ often wild behavior, Angelina is anything but. 'She screams and yells a lot, then walks away,' Bill says, explaining that Angelina would often 'disappear into her suite for hours,' leaving staffers — and Brad — to deal with her children. 'She would punish them with silence,' says Bill, adding, 'I think she could be abusive at times in a mental way.' If the children were to get upset by her withholding behavior, he says, Angelina didn’t seem to care. 'She is not moved by tears,' he explains. Still more disturbing, he recalls, Angelina has a 'quirky habit' of 'giggling when one of her kids would start crying.'

7. chronic feelings of emptiness
-In 1999 Access Hollywood interview she explained it in more detail: "I was..trying to feel something….I was looking at different things..thinking romantically about…about blood. I really hurt myself..." (referring to self-harm)
-Makes repeated comments/remarks in numerous interviews about being restless, chronically bored, needing to constantly be busy, and has a tattoo of a window because she claims no matter where she is, she is always looking out the window for something better (unsatisfied, unfullfilled, etc)

8. inappropriate, intense anger or difficulty controlling anger (e.g., frequent displays of temper, constant anger, recurrent physical fights)
If the children were to get upset by her withholding behavior, he says, Angelina didn’t seem to care. 'She is not moved by tears,' he explains. Still more disturbing, he recalls, Angelina has a 'quirky habit' of 'giggling when one of her kids would start crying.'

9. transient, stress-related paranoid ideation or severe dissociative symptoms
-Admitted to psych ward after break up with Billy Bob due to mental breakdown in which she believed that she had killed Billy Bob (lost touch with reality)

Other known facts:
-admits to many acts of animal cruelty as youngster (in this 1999 video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XjY3XzTLTH0)
-Accordig to biographers Andrew Morton & Ian Halperin, Jolie's highschool psychotherapist labelled her a psychopath - written in her file is this comment: “Angelina Voight is unrestrained, inclined to antisocial psychopathy.”
-Death & blood obsession, collects knives, and into taboo sexual practices

Brad Pitt escapes to posh island for Thanksgiving

By Ian Mohr and Emily Smith November 28, 2016

Brad Pitt spent Thanksgiving weekend “hanging out with one of his buddies” because Angelina Jolie wouldn’t let him see their children over the holiday, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Reports had said Pitt might join Jolie and their brood in spite of their bruising divorce battle. But the two were 3,000 miles apart.

A spy said, “He was at Amanyara in Turks and Caicos over Thanksgiving in a private villa,” adding, “Angie wouldn’t let him see the kids.”

Another source said, “Brad was with one of his male buddies for the weekend.”

Villas at the posh island retreat reportedly go for up to $34,000 per night.

It’s the same getaway where Kelly Ripa headed with husband Mark Consuelos days after the bombshell news that her “Live With Kelly and Michael” co-host Michael Strahan was headed to “Good Morning America.”

Chelsea Clinton took time off there during her mother’s campaign this year while she was pregnant, and other stars who’ve stayed include Olivia Wilde, Emily Ratajkowski and rocker Bryan Ferry, who got married at Amanyara in 2012.

Pitt and Jolie were known to be guests at Amanyara’s sister properties Amanpuri in Thailand and Amangiri in Utah.

Despite reports that Jolie had called a “temporary truce” so that Pitt could break bread with the family for the holiday, we hear that Jolie and the kids were in LA.

Before the island retreat, Pitt was on a whirlwind tour for new film “Allied.” Steven Spielberg was in the audience at an East Hampton showing, Page Six reported.

Pitt filed for joint custody of the kids this month after Jolie filed divorce papers in LA in September.

He was cleared last week in an alleged FBI abuse investigation stemming from an incident with one of the couple’s kids, Maddox, on a private jet.

The LA Department of Children and Family Services also cleared Pitt of any charges.

Reps did not comment.

On Monday, a report that Pitt was secretly dating Kate Hudson was widely shot down.

False accusation

Child abuse

A false allegation of child sexual abuse is an accusation that a person committed one or more acts of child sexual abuse when in reality there was no perpetration of abuse by the accused person as alleged. Such accusations can be brought by the victim, or by another person on the alleged victim's behalf. Studies of child abuse allegations suggest that the overall rate of false accusation is under 10%, as approximated based on multiple studies. Of the allegations determined to be false, only a small portion originated with the child, the studies showed; most false allegations originated with an adult bringing the accusations on behalf of a child, and of those, a large majority occurred in the context of divorce and child-custody battles.

The Brad Pitt Interview

By Jenelle Riley | Posted Jan. 25, 2012, 6:03 p.m.

Brad Pitt is a bit of a puzzle. One of the best character actors working today, he's trapped in a leading man's bone structure. And his choices defy traditional Hollywood logic; after bursting onto the scene in 1991 as the small-time hustler who seduces Geena Davis in "Thelma & Louise" and as the beatific brother of 1992's "A River Runs Through It," he likely had his pick of big movie roles. Instead, he grew a wild beard, had his front tooth chipped by a dentist, and appeared not to wash his hair for weeks to play a crazed killer in the indie "Kalifornia."

Pitt's career would continue this somewhat schizophrenic pattern; for every big-budget blockbuster he appeared in ("Interview With a Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles," "Ocean's Eleven," "Troy"), he would lend his star power to a smaller movie that likely wouldn't have gotten made without his participation ("The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," "The Tree of Life"). Sometimes he found projects that combined prestige with box-office appeal, such as "Inglourious Basterds" and "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button." But what seemed most important to Pitt was to work with the best filmmakers in the business—David Fincher, Quentin Tarantino, the Coen brothers, Terrence Malick. The size of his roles seemed secondary to being part of a great story.

So it's no surprise that Pitt frequently cites great films of the 1970s and filmmakers such as Hal Ashby or actors such as Gene Hackman when talking about the works that inspired him. Last year, Pitt produced and starred in two features that he was drawn to largely because they reminded him of the films he loved growing up. In Malick's experimental drama "The Tree of Life," Pitt won raves for playing the strict father of two boys growing up in 1950s Texas. But it is "Moneyball" that has earned Pitt some of the best reviews of an esteemed career. As Oakland A's general manager Billy Beane, who implemented a scientific formula to assemble a winning baseball team with little money, Pitt charms, rages, and obsesses in a performance that is exhilarating to behold. And just this week, it earned Pitt his third Oscar nomination for acting.

It would be easy to resent Pitt, an actor who makes everything he does look so natural. Take it from his "Moneyball" co-star Jonah Hill. "You know what sucks about Brad?" Hill says with a laugh. "Here's what sucks about him: He's super good at acting, he's got a great career, he's a great guy, and he's funnier than me! It's bullshit—I am so sick of it. He can't let me have that one thing!"

In addition to speaking at a recent Q&A, Pitt sat down with Back Stage to talk about his lengthy career.

Back Stage: When did you first realize you wanted to be an actor?

Brad Pitt: I grew up in Oklahoma and Missouri, and I just loved film. My folks would take us to the drive-in on summer nights, and we'd sit on the hood of the car. I just had this profound love for storytelling. I think it's just an amazing thing we get to do. We're so complex; we're mysteries to ourselves; we're difficult to each other. And then here's this storytelling that reminds us we're all the same. I consider it such a privilege.

Back Stage: Did you have anyone who mentored you or really guided you in those early years?

Pitt: When I first moved to L.A., I discovered Roy London. I didn't know anything about the arts, the profession; I had no technique, I knew nothing, I'm fresh from Missouri. I sat in on a few classes, and they just felt a little guru-ish and just didn't feel right to me. Until I met Roy.

Back Stage: How did you find him?

Pitt: I was taking all these odds jobs, and one of them was driving strippers around to bachelor parties. My job was to get them there, get them home, collect the money, play the music, and catch the clothes. For real. It was a very interesting education and paid really well, so I did it for three months and then decided I was going to move on. The boss said, "All right, but just come in one last night. I need you to do Sunday; I'm in a pinch." And this woman turned out to be dating an actor. I didn't know any actors or know anyone who knew any actors. She said she started this class an actor told her to go to. I asked for the name and went to check it out and felt like this was a really good direction. I learned so much from that man. I miss him.

Back Stage: Did he teach a specific method or kind of create his own?

Pitt: It was kind of based on Uta Hagen, but I think [Roy] really made it his own. He was tough, lovely, compassionate, tough. I give him full credit for pointing me in this direction. I studied with him for three years, I think, then started getting some work. Then I would work with him individually on projects. He loved film, and he loved storytelling. And he loved the individual and looking at what each person could bring to something.

Back Stage: From the beginning of your career, you've made really interesting choices in your roles and collaborators. You could have just made big studio blockbusters—and there's nothing wrong with those; I like them—

Pitt: You and me both. I enjoy them. But I actually wouldn't be very good at them.

Back Stage: Why not?

Pitt: It's just not my interest. I grew up on certain movies, particular movies that said something to me as a kid from Missouri, movies that showed me places I'd yet traveled, or different cultures, or explained something, or said something in a better way than I could ever say. I wanted to find the movies like that. It was less about a career than finding the films I wanted to see.

Back Stage: You obviously play leading men, but I think of you as a character actor—

Pitt: I appreciate that!

Back Stage: But because you are a star, did you ever worry you wouldn't get the character roles? Have you ever felt underrated as an actor?

Pitt: No, I thought I could always get there or make that turn as long as they let me stay in the game. Listen, I've been pretty fortunate. And if I've been underrated, it's actually been something I've been able to work with; I can surprise people. It sets me up to exceed expectations, so I don't mind.

Back Stage: What's your favorite part about being an actor?

Pitt: I'm at an age now where I get to start looking back, I guess. And there are some really amazing people I've been able to hang out with and work with. Hollywood gets dubbed this place of extreme vanity and neediness—and I guess it's there—but that's not the crowd I've seen or run with. I've found the most interesting, curious, engaging people in this funny thing we call storytelling. I love working with them, and I love the moment right before "Action" and the bell rings, and you don't know exactly what's going to happen; you just start following a vein of thought. And I love the surprises that come from that. And I love stories. I think it's an amazing thing we get to do; we get to contribute to the Zeitgeist of our time. I don't know how much relevance that has—we're not eradicating T.B.—but I don't diminish it either. I think there's really something to getting to tell stories that investigate or laugh at what paradoxes and quizzical things we are.

Back Stage: You've also gotten into producing, and spent years trying to get "Moneyball" made. How did the story find its way to you, and what attracted you to it?

Pitt: Aaron Sorkin described the making of this film the other day. He said, "There are easy films, there are difficult films, then there's 50 feet of crap, then there's 'Heaven's Gate,' then there's us." It was an arduous undertaking. There was a first attempt at a script, and I felt there was something there, but it was geared to more of a major league kind of slant, more comedic. Then I read the book and became rather obsessed with this man's story, who was labeled a failure in some ways. And these ideas of value—how we value ourselves, what are we worth to each other, and is this system even accurate? And then we started. Economics is not the most edge-of-your-seat subject matter, so it took us a few years to get it right. And we found [director] Bennett Miller.

He's not getting enough credit for how much authorship he has of the film. I think he's going to be one of our best.

Back Stage: What was the most unusual or difficult part about making the film?

Pitt: Something that I think is particularly interesting to actors: Bennett was intent on bringing in real baseball insiders. Therefore they're not actors, a lot of the baseball players and scouts; they're not trained as we are. And he very wisely said, "Don't say the lines; put them in your own words." Then it became incumbent on us to respond to that, which can be very exhausting. You've got to be on your toes at all times. And these guys know baseball certainly more than we do. The interesting thing—and it was the same thing in "Tree of Life," working with kids who didn't know the script and weren't actors—there's a spontaneity that happens; there's a freshness that happens that's up on the screen that I really, really enjoy. I'm questioning myself how to bring it into future projects, because I think it makes that little bit of difference in what we do become more alive. You are really in the moment. I hope to be able to do more of that.

Back Stage: You were also a producer on "Tree of Life." Is it true you didn't originally intend on acting in it?

Pitt: Yeah. Our actor fell out, and suddenly the film was in jeopardy, and it was looking like it was going to go away. So I said, "Fuck it—I'll do it." That movie was a challenge to get made and get the money for. Terry and I grew up in similar kind of country environments, and we certainly have a kinship.

Back Stage: Another director you've collaborated with a lot is David Fincher.

Pitt: He's a great friend. Sharp as a knife and wickedly funny. I will absolutely be working with him again.

Back Stage: What do you make of his reputation for doing multiple takes of a scene?

Pitt: It's not… [Laughs.] You know, it's not true. There are times when it's a big technical thing and that happens. But it is this moniker he's received. But once it's down, it's there, it's in concrete.

Back Stage: And isn't it a good thing to be able to do lots of takes?

Pitt: It can be. But on "Tree of Life" we just did two takes on everything. And the second take was completely different from the first. So I can go either way.

Back Stage: Although I'm assuming you haven't had to audition in years, what is your take on the audition experience?

Pitt: Bennett talks about this a lot; a lot of times, what it takes to get elected to office has nothing to do with what it takes to govern. I find that true about the auditioning process, as well. You're sitting in a room, and you all kind of look alike, and you're all going over your lines, and you can hear the audition going on inside. And you have these few pages of black lines on white paper, and it says you smile here, you do this there. You start hearing the same thing over and over. Now you think of the people on the other side there, the people that are running the casting sessions. By the third, the fourth, the 10th, the 20th, they're hearing the same thing, and then suddenly somebody comes in and does something different. And it lands. Now you can't be different for different's sake, and this doesn't always work, but you have to separate yourself from the normal read. Of course, it has to be truthful. If it's not truthful, don't waste your time. I think that's a key thing that took me a while to figure out.

Back Stage: Is there anything else you know now that you wish you'd known at the beginning of your career?

Pitt: When you first get opportunities, suddenly you get surrounded by a lot of people who want to make money off you but also are there to help. But they start telling you so much what you need to be and what you need to do to maintain some idea of career maintenance. When you start out, it's very discombobulating, and you are ill-defined at that point as far as direction, what stories are personal to you. So there's two things I'm saying here; at that point, I wish I knew just to follow what was interesting to me. Because we're actors, we want to tell stories, we want to tell personal stories. And not just something you can plug any one of us in and basically get the same thing. Get into something that's really personal that means something to you, where you have something to say and is something really individualized. I wish I was more aware of that then instead of doing a few things I was told would be good for me. And they weren't, because it left me empty, so I didn't do a good job anyways. I think that's what's key to what we do: It's got to be personal.

What's So Funny?

At a Jan. 15 Q&A sponsored by Back Stage and SAG Foundation, Brad Pitt and Jonah Hill spoke to a packed house about their work on "Moneyball." One topic of discussion was a blooper reel on the DVD that features Pitt laughing hysterically for almost a full three minutes. The scene in question is one near the end of the film, when Hill tries to show him video of a baseball player who hit a home run without realizing it, and Pitt attempts to collect himself several times, to no avail. When asked what he was laughing about, Pitt put the blame on his co-star. "I can't tell you what he said. It's so wrong. So wrong," Pitt said. "This is the guy who did 'Superbad.' Just head in that direction, then go further." Though he wouldn't reveal what he said, Hill responded, "Movie shoots, sometimes you're there for like 12 or 15 hours, and sometimes you get joy out of trying to make the other person laugh when you're not on camera. I think that is one of the gifts of being an actor, is trying to see how someone handles it when they're getting told the dumbest things on the planet, and they have to actually react like they're watching something serious or they're moved by something. I had a really great time." Quipped Pitt, "I know you did."

BRAD PITT

BEST FILM:
Benjamin Button
The tremendous focus Pitt brings to this film in the face of the technical obstacles is uncanny. He also brings a completely different type of charm, obviously most of it not dependent on his movie-star looks.
Great Performances You May Not Have Seen:
Babel (Golden Globe-nominated performance opposite Cate Blanchett, as her husband trying to keep her alive in a strange land after she’s been shot seemingly by terrorists)
True Romance (quick turn as drugged-out roommate)
Sleepers (a lawyer out for revenge)
Spy Game (a spy, opposite Robert Redford)
Seven Years in Tibet (Nazi turned Buddhist)
Meet Joe Black (the angel of death)
The Anti-Hero Pitt:
Thelma & Louise (a seductive thief, opposite Geena Davis)
Kalifornia (a psycho killer)
Se7en (a detective with a bad temper, opposite Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman)
12 Monkeys (Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning performance as a mental patient)
Burn After Reading (an inept blackmailer)
The Mexican (an inept gangster)
Fight Club (a soap salesman who sets up the title men's organization)
Ocean's Eleven The whole series has such good-time brilliance, it can't be ignored. Though Pitt was pivotal to its success, he still is part of a team effort.
Blockbusters:
Inglorious Basterds (a Nazi-killing Apache)
Ocean's Eleven (Rusty, Ocean's right-hand man)
Ocean's Twelve
Ocean's Thirteen
Troy (Achilles)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated performance as the title character, who ages backwards)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (an assassin married to another assassin out to get him, opposite Angelina Jolie)
Legends of the Fall (Golden Globe-nominated performance as Tristan, a brother caught up in a Montana family melodrama)
A River Runs Through It (a prodigal son growing up in Montana)
Interview with the Vampire (Louis, the vampire, opposite Tom Cruise)
The Real Brad Pitt:
Ocean's Eleven, et al.

Who is a better actor: Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise?

Fan of both since I ever started watching movies so I think I can give an unbiased answer.

Since you ask who is a good actor, it's not fair to compare them on their looks, doing that would lead us nowhere as they both are really attractive.

Now, coming to the point who among the two is a better actor…it's BRAD PITT.

Look, both of them have tons of blockbusters under there belt but acting skills of Brad Pitt are really hard to match.

Where to begin. I'll name some of his movies for you to see so you will also get an idea of what an A grade actor he is. Tom Cruise too gave a lot really good movies some being Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Vanilla Sky, Collateral Damage, Rain Man in the beginning of his career but his career seems to be going on a down slope as he aged. Valkyrie being an exception to this though. His recent movies like the Mission Impossible series, Jack Teacher and no of other sci-fi movies though may have done good business did nothing for his arts performance.

Now let's have a look at our man Brad. His movies -

Fight Club

You knew it was coming didn't you? A role so greatly done that it got him an oscar nomination. Pitt channeled such great self esteem into the performance.

Moneyball

Probably the trickiest role Brad has ever played. Pitt's been compared to Robert Redford all his career and in moneyball it looks like he owns it. Again he was nominated for an Oscar.

Seven

Pitt plays a hardcore police detective along side Morgan Freeman. Very different from all other roles he has done. And of course…that dialogue WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?!?!

Inglorious Basterds

He plays an American Solider. And according to me he nailed that accent. Another oscar nominated film.

12 Monkeys

He played an insane patient and succeeded in doing so with flying marks. Role and the movie too received much appreciation from the critics.

Troy

Another very very popular movie.

Fury

Plays a war veteran who comes to hate the Nazis and also comes face to face with some.

The Assassination of Jesse James

Plays Jesse James and does a fine work doing so.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Another movie which challenges him as an actor. He tried and achieved success upto a great extent in pulling together an act to play an old man.

The Mexican

Yes a romantic movie. Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt together. Whats not to love. Considering acting may not be Pitt's high but succeeded in doing a decent job.

BRAD PITT IS UNDERRATED

Most people think about the actor Brad Pitt just like an extremely handsome  personality. It is true; the global acting superstar that is Brad Pitt is good looking even for men. His mysterious attitude is charming. It is only normal that the handsome actor became one of the biggest movie stars of all time and a global phenomenon. This is because Brad Pitt’s looks alone could most probably get him the leading role in almost any movie. In addition, most women would like to watch a movie featuring Brad Pitt just for seeing him appearing on the screen topless.

However, it is appropriate to admit that Brad Pitt is not celeb just by his good looking. It is certain that he has some pretty significant acting talent. The problem is that his talent is relegated at the second place because many people pay too much attention on how Brad looks rather than how he acts. The film Fight Club that became a cult film gives evidence of his acting skills. Brad Pitt plays, in this film, plays Jack alter ego or the narrator. In this film, he is supposed to play the cooler side of the main character and he plays this role with such authority and conviction that no one can contest it.

The Hamptons is apparently the place to be for the holidays

By Ian Mohr November 28, 2016

Steven Spielberg was a paying customer for Brad Pitt’s latest movie, “Allied,” in East Hampton over the weekend.

The movie icon caught the film with godson Jake Paltrow during the Thanksgiving break.

Also celebrating the holiday in the Hamptons, we hear, were Stephen and Christine Schwarzman, who treated their guests to a hayride in Water Mill — singing Bob Dylan songs along the way.

Mariska Hargitay and her husband hosted their annual Turkey Bowl football game at a local park, where players included Alec Baldwin and George Stephanopoulos.

In other tag-football action, the Lauder family hosted 75 guests for Thanksgiving along with a game that pitted the Turkeys versus the Hams.

Meanwhile, secretary-of-state candidate Rudy Giuliani hosted a dinner of his own, and Trump booster Carl Icahn attended Allen Grubman’s annual meal.

VIPs including Julian Schnabel, Donna Karan and Bob Colacello flocked to a Guild Hall screening of “Jackie,” while another hot film that screened was “Hidden Figures.”

COMMENTS

Brad fuckin' Pitt is 50?? Shit, we're all getting so old.

Damn. He still looks like he's 35. Must have some Asian genetics we don't know about.

The cinematography in this was fantastic. The scenes of Brad Pitt going to the basement to get the briefing was what stuck out to me as good cinematography. The story didn't have as many twists and turns as I had expected but kept me tense the entire time and I think the feeling I felt about the story mimicked Pitt's character's emotions.

I thought it was evident from the trailer that she was a spy, but really didn't think it would be this emotional or psychological. Great acting as well, especially at the end with Pitt as he comprehends what just happened. Anyways, great movie that I highly recommend.

Brad and Marion have amazing chemistry. Zemeckis direction is great. The historical accuracy felt adequate for the story.

Like the other poster, i'm a huge Pitt fan and i'll always support/enjoy his movies but that doesn't mean i'll dismiss a movie being bad. This one was great. The movie was so visually appealing and I thought the acting from both Pitt and Cotillard was great. I'd definitely watch it again.

Cotillard and Pitt were made for that time period. I mean I get things like costumes, sets, etc., but I feel if you plopped modern day Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard into the 1940's, they would just fit right in. Part of the reason why I loved this movie was their acting.

So for three years I've hosted an event called Brad Pitt Tuesday. I'm sure you could guess, but it's where we watch a BP movie every Tuesday night. This year, I moved, got a new job, and had a ton of other stuff go on. But I still tried my best to get at least 1 Brad Pitt Tuesday a month in.
With all the crazy going on in my life, I called it quits, and had one final BPT at the theater tonight.
With that being said, my review is biased as I love Brad. But I truly enjoyed this one. It was so gripping. I did want more action, but the tense scenes were really riveting. I really didn't know if she was a traitor or not for the longest time. Really, up until Max found out. I thought the pacing was rushed, I really wanted more from a lot of the scenes. An extended cut would really let this movie breathe I think.
I really did enjoy it though. The acting was great, the story was fun, the visuals are fantastic

The ending was soul-sucking and devestating.

I never thought she was great looking (or a great actress, for that matter), but that kiss to her brother at the Oscars was really the straw that broke the camel's back, for me.

No doubt Angie has used her time with the children to trash Bad and work on turning the children against him. Can’t imagine why child services allows the children to stay with Angie who is abusing them emotionally and mentally by trashing their father.

.which proves that she couldn’t care less about what is best for the kids. It is, always has been and always will be, about what is best for Angelina and what Angelina wants.

I like when something you have never heard of before are called rumours! These are not rumours is is just a pathetic story!

I think he'd best stay away from loony narcissists for a while.

He's smarter than that to mess around with the likes of her!

She's the one who probably "leaked" the info.

Just watched Fury for the first time. Brilliant. Brad Pitt can do no wrong.

One of the best movies of the year. Perhaps ask someone with actual culture and intelligence to review it.

World War II never looked so good in the love in the time of war film Allied
Well acted by Brad Pitt as Max Vatan a Canadian soldier who partners with a French Resistance fighter named Marianne Beausejour (Marion Cotillard in all her seductive and glamourous glory)
Bullets fly,and their hearts become intertwined and the two marry but Vatan is informed his beloved wife may be a double agent working for the Nazis
The suspenseful action scenes really drove me to the edge of my seat.I did feel something for Vatan as he attempts to find out the truth at times putting love before duty
I could definitely tell Director Robert Zemeckis has great love for the film Casablanca sometimes the nods are slight sometimes so bold i felt like i was being beaten over the head with them
At times the pacing of the film slows to a crawl .
In the end Allied is a very good story with just enough suspense and fevered action to recommend seeing it at the theatre.
Scale of 1-10 an 8

Brad is always going to look a lot better , since he isn't with Angelina Jolie.. He was So Handsome till he got with her..

Brad is taking a big break from women and totally focused on securing joint physical custody of his children. Nothing else matters to him at this time. Once the custody battle is done, and after a bit more time to heal from this bruising is when he'll think of a hook up. It could probably happen when he least expects it and with someone outside the entertainment industry. Ya never know........

He's smarter than that to mess around with the likes of her!

I think he'd best stay away from loony narcissists for a while.

Watched allied tonight, we have such an easy life compared to the 40.s #Allied #film #BradPitt

If you haven't watched "Allied" starring #Bradpitt & #MarionCotillard , please go do so!  I can't describe how amazing it is 😍😌

"Moonlight" is the year's best film but the "I thought only five people would see it" refrain is a bit taxing. Brad Pitt was involved...

The bitch is crazy I believe.

What a biatch !

good because you're an absolute moron to believe such a stupid rumor

Everyone involved in this movie deserves an Oscar anyway. (allied)

This is a well made movie and a real throwback to something that would have been made between 1965-1975 and probably done well at the box office. Not in 2016 though. The theater I saw it at had only 10 people in the audience and no one under 45. Marion Cotillard is excellent here and Brad Pitt is not to far behind her but she carries the show and the audience's attention. One nitpick is Pitt's French which is about as good as his Italian in Inglorious Basterds. He probably would have been caught in 5 secs as soon as he was introduced to Cotillard's French friends. I also found the closing shot of Medicine Hat,Alberta to be a bit odd where it was made to look like a lush, green and forested English countryside. The dominating feature of the area is rolling hills, coulees and short grass vegetation where everything looks tan or straw with few trees much like Wyoming or Texas.

"discomfiting"
I know what it is like to write with a deadline and expectations, but I looked this up and realise you are going to get cranks telling you that you misspelled "discomforting". Ah, the English language.
Having seen the trailer, I have to admit the way the trailer explains the plot and the way you, Peter, explain the plot, well... Let us just say I am a good deal more interested after reading this review. "Your wife is a German spy" and "your wife is a German spy who killed and is impersonating the person you think she is" are two very different things. The latter being much more intriguing.
This may well turn out to be Brad Pitt's best film since Fight Club.

I JUST saw 'Allied'...(be still my beating heart)...all I can say is My, oh My...he still is! x

When I do catch one of his movies though, I’m always surprised at how strong an actor he actually is.  Looking through his filmography on imdb, you can see he’s tried to avoid stereotypical “hero” roles (much like Johnny Depp) to avoid being typecast, suggesting brains behind the blonde.  Let’s hope he keeps picking good roles in future, and then maybe one day he will get the Oscar he should have won 15 years ago

Brad Pitt is so underrated as the fantastic actor he is because of his good looks (which are pretty great). But he has put in some incredible performances. Even Babel (which I hated) he was still fantastic. Your spot on about his performance in Twelve Monkeys as well, totally unreal.
I love that he has attempted so many different types of roles as well, not just falling into one type of character. He really has pushed himself with a lot of the roles he has taken on.

In cinema ready for Allied. Love me a bit o' Brad Pitt..

First half was amazing, the scene at the cafe was great, as well as obtaining the invite for the party. LOVED that August Diehl made an appearance in this, was super surprised to see him. I loved Brad and Marion's chemistry, wasn't expecting to cry at the end.
Overall 8/10 for me, go see it.

Who cares.. I'm sure it's a well deserved vacation

I think that Brad is a very underrated actor, people can't seem to get past his handsomeness. Every movie in which he appears in is instantly made better by his performance. I can honestly say he's my favorite actor because he has made so many movies that are on my "favorite movies" list: Seven, Interview with the Vampire, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Twelve Monkeys, Snatch, Ocean's Eleven, Burn After Reading and Troy. I hope he'll get the recognition he deserves.

Wowzzer Brad u r one sexy man u ROCK :):) and the BEST Actor

Don't listen to critics, they try to get people to care about movie people dont pay to see

Ok... then what made her talk rubbish about Brad recently? So it means she lied about him. I am sure he is down to earth!

sHE SET OUT TO RUIN HIM , SHE HAD IT ALL PLANNED

She really has a problem by keeping Brad away from his children I can’t wait until they go to court and appears in front of the Judge. She can loose her children if not careful by acting crazy. I can’t believe that her attorney has not sat down with her and told her the facts of life regarding taking there children away from a parent. I use to work for an attorney and California is very hard on parents and there children………

FBI involvement was insane... hope your next mate isn't as devious!!!
You deserve someone wonderful now....

This is the most stupid case that I ever seen. Why don't prosecute Angelina she is the only one who is crazy around here.

Wtf were the fbi involved????how about the millions of kids around the world that are seriously in danger where's the fbi on them

Never thought you did anything bad Brad.

Brad is a good dad, Angelina is cra cra!

No kidding. She made them up.

The whole FBI investigation was a bunch of bullshit.

Just watched one of the best Brad Pitt's movie damn!!!! Two thumbs up for #Allied

divorce looks well on him...he's gotten younger ..

A great movie and thoroughly enjoyable.Students of philosophy will enjoy this as well. When it comes to familu vs country where will your loyalty lie?with respect to the plot it was gripping and so was the character development. The movie also helped me in brushing up my francaise.

I don't know nothing about this story, but it seems to me as Brad is a victim of a very insecure and unbalanced ex wife.

She is a monester he needs to see the kids

Oh, Brad me ol' mate. You are SO well out of it. You made a HUGE mistake but you don't have to ruin the rest of your life. Find a nice gal who's not totally bonkers.

I love seeing pictures of Brad and Marion on the red carpet. How beautiful they are together. seriously they are the most beautiful couple in the world.

Don't worry Brad, you will get joint custody. Angelina is a fool, if she keeps acting like this, Brad may get sole custody.

Angelina is going to mess up her kids, the same way her parents messed her up. She better be careful. (France)

Agree 100%. ( NYC, United States)

She's a nasty piece of work. Their children will end up despising her.

Wow, she's playing hardball! Brad has been cleared so he should be able to see his children. Very sad situation all around.

How is it even legal to keep the kids from him??

She's a witch. She holds all that is dear to Brad, their children. She won't give him an easy ride. Team Brad.

He needs to take her to court and free those poor kids from her witchy grip.

NO RESPECT FOR HER AS A MOTHER, PERSON, OR SO-CALLED 'HUMANITARIAN'. After a very bad divorce where I was attacked repeatedly as an unfit parent and forced to defend myself at great emotional and financial expense I was granted full legal and physical custody and despite the parenting agreement I CHOSE to overrule the agreement and allowed my child to visit with the other parent as often as possible despite my fears. That included letting our child go to Europe for the summers because it was best for our son. My generous action, believe it or not, healed the rift between myself and my ex and now we are good friends and our son attends Juilliard in NYC. Why? WHY IS MY SON SO SUCCESSFUL IN HIS LIFE NOW? BECAUSE, HE HAD TWO PARENTS INVOLVED IN HIS LIFE...PLUS A LOVING STEPFATHER AND STEPMOTHER AND SEVERAL SETS OF GRANDPARENTS. ..CHILDREN NEED AND DESERVE BOTH PARENTS.

She's out of her mind.

She was a cuckoo-bird when he first hooked up with her so he shouldn't be surprised about what she's doing now. Her other husbands could have let him in on the "secret" before he had kids with her.

The person who put out the rumour about Kate Hudson and Brad, was Kate herself. She is sooooooo thirsty.

My advice to Brad is to give her what she thinks she wants. Let her have the kids. Let her raise them on her own. Everyone has seen that Brad has probably been a better parent to the kids than Angelina, so there's really no concern that his PR would take a hit if he walked away. Consider the whole mess a bullet dodged and move on. Step away and let the "universal mother' dazzle us with her parenting.

#Yesterday: At @Cinemark I watched the movie #Allied. The movie is very good starring #BradPitt & #MarionCotillard. I didn't like the ending

I'm happy for Brad. We don't know what goes on behind closed doors but it looked like he was willing to give his all for his relationship.I'm glad he's doing okay!

I was a big Jolie fan. Now, she's the biggest hypocrite

Just got home from watching his new movie Allied and Brad was phenomenal, brilliant. Glad he got some rest and wish him the best. I will say don't worry Brad, be happy. Do what you need to do, to be in peace.

Good for him!! He deserves a REST from all the craziness in his life!

I wish Brad, happiness and blessings. You deserve better.

She refused to let him see his kids. And if you think she did all the work guess again

His new movie is so good

Brad you have your fans behind you. Keep going, be happy

We love u brad from your home town

Right now I honestly think she is worse for the kids than he is. I feel like she is trying to destroy him

Stupid woman thinking of her own hateful emotions rather than those of the children

She's basically replicating the same toxic behaviour her mother did with her father. I'm sure Pitt isn't the perfect dad but cutting him out like this unilaterally can't be good for the children.

 delusional women!

why involve kids ...its not kids fault, dont be a cow..let the children see there father....xxxx

shes another crazy bitch and has blood around her neck in a necklace who does that........shes just a disater looking for a place to happen

shes an attention hog............thats all she wants

It was her choice.

Ahhh poor her....she is a nut job

Finally i agree with everyone she is a weirdo.and i believe brad really tried to make it work.im so glad he got out safe and keep burning your spliff brother.

Should be charged with false allegations people shouldn't be allowed to do this. It's horrible to be labeled and then find out its all un-true. Karma is gonna visit this woman

Oh just go away Jolie. I liked it better when you were staying out of the press. Chelsea Handler is right, bitch is a lunatic.

Please, go back under the rock you came from. Never liked Jolie, especially now!

This women is a total loon...She should have been the one investigated not Brad.

Havent miss her. She lied about the child admuse. Shame on her. I knew that Brad Didnt do it.

Who cares? She's so weird!! If you ask me,she should go back to hiding!! Nobody missed her!

Appears it has little to do with the children, but she simply wanted a divorce...the children were part of play...

I think what ever happened between them has nothing to do with the kids...she used those kids as a tool to get what she wants...oh yea good mother.

snt this the chick who stole someone's man & now she selling sympathy now?

I'm really happy Brad is away from that bitch Jolie. She seems so stuck up and prudish. As she thinks she better than everyone else. Never liked her.

He look relaxed just be there for your kids always. And if it's true bout this split up you two need to make the kids first priority always.

Good for Brad! Go somewhere warm and tropical, far away from the ice queen that is your soon to be ex wife Angelina

he is giving the children too much choice! Be a parent.

That's good Brad, you have to enjoy your life, don't stuck your life with a nonsense woman

Jolie need's to be looked into she is not all there lately.

He really needs a getaway. ...omg ...
Hope he's having a great time...

The whole "rumor" about Marion & Pitt is just another planted PR fax from Jolie

Although Jolie is a jealous and vile bÜtch,
she planned the exit months before in order to
pursue her "political career" (LolLOlLOlLolLol) in the UK.
She and her lesbian witch circle waited for the "right" moment.
Jolie lured Pitt into a trip to France and then the plane,
provoked a "situation" on a plane
so that the FBI would be involved. Stupid as Jolie is,
she expected a different outcome.

They sure had chemistry in the trailers. What the heck happened? I am surprised at these reviews. Sometimes you just can't please a critic. Or did Jolie have a hand in this? Did she not want him to succeed.

Ithink we need to hope for other good reviews and hope other critics like it. Jolie suffers the better Brad and his movie does and better the chemistry with Marion is. Let's not forget the smug Jolie-- isn't that what the reviewer above said their smug faces in m/ m Smith? Goal is to have that wiped off her face. In that video jolue still had on the smug.
Movie sounds good, pretty to watch, can't wait to see the costuming and I love those settings. Let's crowd the theatre, bank for a Brad movie makes her livid.

Dammit. I don't like Pitt but I want his film to do well so he can piss off Angie. Better I want him to win more Oscars than her. Get her where it hurts - her ego.

Every move she is making is of a woman scorned. Aniston handled it with class and this is the way Jolie deals.

Her antics guarantee only one thing - that she will lose custody. And soon.

I guess the first 3 are more family movies where you can take at least older children? Allied is probably not something for kids, so I'd say it's doing quite well if it's in 4th place after a Disney animated movie, a JK Rowling "Harry Potter universe" movie, and a Marvel comic adaptation starring Benedict Cumberbatch.

So, I got a chance to see this recently and while, I thought it was very high quality film, I was completely unprepared for how sad the movie's ending was going to be.
Marion was very, very excellent in this and I feel she absolutely deserves an Oscar nomination for her performance. Her character was very complex and interesting. My heart broke into a million pieces for her. And, it's true what Marion said about her at the premieres, she's mysterious, but also very simple, too. Brad was lacking a little of his old charisma at the beginning of the film, during the mission scenes, with the rooftop scenes being a notable exception. I though he was quite smooth in those. But, after they get to London in movie, he was pretty much back in old form with charm for days. I do think "Max Vatan" was a little too much of a straight laced stiff, especially since it seems so incongruent with his life as a spy. Why exactly this dichotomy exists is not well explored in the film. Yeah, he's a patriot and all that jazz, but still...Now, when he was doing spy stuff, I loved the character and thought he was very cool.
So, that's what I think!

No. Jolie does not understand. She is incapable of reason or logic. She does not understand cause and effect. She only understands what she wants. And she doesn't get that she is the problem. Her entitlement issues and her zero emotional intelligence means she only sees things from one singular perspective - her own.
She will lose custody. That is a certainty.

Thanks, that's very enlightening. And as bad as the Rutherford situation sounds, HOlie sounds crazier. More out of control. She tried to frame Pitt with child abuse, that much is clear. Maddox was, in fact, complicit in the charge, this much is obvious. That cannot be good for Jolie at all. As for the other considerations:

- The child’s wishes, as well as the age and sex of the child - The J-P children have been coached and influenced to the point that their wishes are suspect.

- The mental and/or physical health of the parents - Good grief, a chain-smoking anorexic probably drug used and alcohol abuser with a history of mental illness? Puh-leeze.

- Whether any religion or cultural issues exist - Scratch this one, they have been raised with no religion or cultural issues which would apply in any rational way.

- The stability of the home environment - Egad. Chaos. The parents have BRAGGED about this chaos. There is no discipline, no rules are followed, no sound nutrition, no bedtime

- Whether there are other siblings in the home - Siblings, too many siblings

- Adjustment to school and the community - NO school, NO community.

- The substantiation of any abuse or neglect allegations - I'm guessing there is much which has been or can be substantiated.

End take on this? Yes, Holie sounds much crazier. I don't think it's going to go well for her, and I think she is still aware enough that she now understands that.

Angelina Jolie is even more unreasonable than my ex-daughter-in-law about visitation.

Good for u Brad u handsome hulk of a man sexy eyes! Hm
Angie will regret keeping children from
their Dad she better wise up! Those kids need Brad no reason
why he shouldn't have his kids Angie just angry and cruel will catch up with her ! To many issues
Angie has a dark side
I hope Brad will use against her wow leaving a hulk of a man she's crazy selfish and showing
It! Remember Brad adopted those children 👶 So witch
Stop ur hateful ways
Before it comes back
To bite ur *** Rooting
for Brad!

Poor Brad! Angie will poison the children and tell them he doesn’t care, he is abusive and all sorts of trash. Angie is the true abuser for killing the relationship between father and children. These children don’t have a stable future ahead. Very , very sad in deed…..

One would think she would learn from the mistakes made by her parents. Instead, she is just a spiteful woman full of hate and uses 'the' children (NOT JUST HER CHILDREN)to get her own way. She should never get sole parenting, she is not fit with her temperament.

She sounds very possessive of the kids, all we seem to have heard recently is from her side, what about his side, there are two sides to every story, I am not saying either side is correct, but she is not coming across as a very nice person at the moment (my view anyway!)

Another woman that's using kids as pawns she should be thinking of the kids they deserve a father figure to not just a selfish mother

Sad he should have been able to see his children and to them he is their dad no matter what A says.

Sounds very much like a case of parent alienation.

Evil woman to stop the children from seeing there dad.

Brad, you hang in there. 👍

I think she needs to be stopped as representative for children on mag said she has adopted another
How is she allowed while going though Devorce
And and any other normal person would be turned down if it happen to them not only that what she is doing to brad and those children is wrong on so many levels I wish she would grow up
