Can anyone blame Rebel Wilson for coming on a little strong?
While promoting Universal Pictures' Pitch Perfect 2 on Live! With Kelly and MichaelTuesday, the 29-year-old Australian actress revealed she was recently "sitting next to Brad Pitt" during "a table read for Sacha Baron Cohen's new movie."
During the table read, Wilson learned that Pitt's 39-year-old wife Angelina Jolie, plus their children—13-year-old Maddox Jolie Pitt, 11-year-old Pax Jolie-Pitt, 9-year-old Zahara Jolie-Pitt, 8-year-old Shiloh Jolie-Pitt, and 6-year-old twins Knox Jolie-Pitt and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt—are fans of 2012's Pitch Perfect.
"Brad Pitt then got some other movie offers, so he couldn't do it. I was sitting next to Brad Pitt and he's like, 'Uh, I've seen your movie like 20 times. My kids love it.' And he said, 'Angelina watches it as well.'"
Meeting the 51-year-old movie star was a surreal experience for Wilson. "I couldn't even believe he was talking to me, let alone seen me do comedy," she said.
Before the table read ended and they went their separate ways, Wilson made her affections known. "I just kind of hugged him and for a really long extended time, to the point where he's kind of moving back. When do you get that opportunity?"
"No!" Kelly Ripa said. "Never!"
Meanwhile, the actress also joked that she disapproves of Princess Charlotte's name. "I thought Wills and Kate were going to call their baby girl Rebel. I just thought it would've been really kickass for a princess. I think they went with something different, but I mean, it's OK," Wilson shrugged. "I'm joking!"
"I've met a lot of princes—Nigerian princes—like, online," she joked.
"Did you send them any money?" Michael Strahan said with a laugh.
"I haven't actually met any of the British royal family, but I do know that [Prince William] and [Kate Middleton] requested a screening of the first Pitch Perfect," Wilson revealed. "Hopefully they'll watch the second one, too!"
