BRAD PITT

BEST FILM:
Benjamin Button
The tremendous focus Pitt brings to this film in the face of the technical obstacles is uncanny. He also brings a completely different type of charm, obviously most of it not dependent on his movie-star looks.
Great Performances You May Not Have Seen:
Babel (Golden Globe-nominated performance opposite Cate Blanchett, as her husband trying to keep her alive in a strange land after she’s been shot seemingly by terrorists)
True Romance (quick turn as drugged-out roommate)
Sleepers (a lawyer out for revenge)
Spy Game (a spy, opposite Robert Redford)
Seven Years in Tibet (Nazi turned Buddhist)
Meet Joe Black (the angel of death)
The Anti-Hero Pitt:
Thelma & Louise (a seductive thief, opposite Geena Davis)
Kalifornia (a psycho killer)
Se7en (a detective with a bad temper, opposite Kevin Spacey and Morgan Freeman)
12 Monkeys (Oscar-nominated and Golden Globe-winning performance as a mental patient)
Burn After Reading (an inept blackmailer)
The Mexican (an inept gangster)
Fight Club (a soap salesman who sets up the title men's organization)
Ocean's Eleven The whole series has such good-time brilliance, it can't be ignored. Though Pitt was pivotal to its success, he still is part of a team effort.
Blockbusters:
Inglorious Basterds (a Nazi-killing Apache)
Ocean's Eleven (Rusty, Ocean's right-hand man)
Ocean's Twelve
Ocean's Thirteen
Troy (Achilles)
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (Golden Globe and Oscar-nominated performance as the title character, who ages backwards)
Mr. & Mrs. Smith (an assassin married to another assassin out to get him, opposite Angelina Jolie)
Legends of the Fall (Golden Globe-nominated performance as Tristan, a brother caught up in a Montana family melodrama)
A River Runs Through It (a prodigal son growing up in Montana)
Interview with the Vampire (Louis, the vampire, opposite Tom Cruise)
The Real Brad Pitt:
Ocean's Eleven, et al.

Who is a better actor: Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise?

Fan of both since I ever started watching movies so I think I can give an unbiased answer.

Since you ask who is a good actor, it's not fair to compare them on their looks, doing that would lead us nowhere as they both are really attractive.

Now, coming to the point who among the two is a better actor…it's BRAD PITT.

Look, both of them have tons of blockbusters under there belt but acting skills of Brad Pitt are really hard to match.

Where to begin. I'll name some of his movies for you to see so you will also get an idea of what an A grade actor he is. Tom Cruise too gave a lot really good movies some being Top Gun, A Few Good Men, Vanilla Sky, Collateral Damage, Rain Man in the beginning of his career but his career seems to be going on a down slope as he aged. Valkyrie being an exception to this though. His recent movies like the Mission Impossible series, Jack Teacher and no of other sci-fi movies though may have done good business did nothing for his arts performance.

Now let's have a look at our man Brad. His movies -

Fight Club

You knew it was coming didn't you? A role so greatly done that it got him an oscar nomination. Pitt channeled such great self esteem into the performance.

Moneyball

Probably the trickiest role Brad has ever played. Pitt's been compared to Robert Redford all his career and in moneyball it looks like he owns it. Again he was nominated for an Oscar.

Seven

Pitt plays a hardcore police detective along side Morgan Freeman. Very different from all other roles he has done. And of course…that dialogue WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!?!?!

Inglorious Basterds

He plays an American Solider. And according to me he nailed that accent. Another oscar nominated film.

12 Monkeys

He played an insane patient and succeeded in doing so with flying marks. Role and the movie too received much appreciation from the critics.

Troy

Another very very popular movie.

Fury

Plays a war veteran who comes to hate the Nazis and also comes face to face with some.

The Assassination of Jesse James

Plays Jesse James and does a fine work doing so.

Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Another movie which challenges him as an actor. He tried and achieved success upto a great extent in pulling together an act to play an old man.

The Mexican

Yes a romantic movie. Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt together. Whats not to love. Considering acting may not be Pitt's high but succeeded in doing a decent job.
