Unleash hell: Krisann Morel, Childhood, Nanny, Angelina Jolie

Krisann Morel was apparently quite instrumental in helping to raise one of Hollywood’s most famous (and powerful) mom’s today.

In case you hadn’t guessed, Morel was actually Angelina Jolie’s childhood nanny.

The former babysitter, who now lives in Las Vegas, Nevada as a self-employed writer, was first quoted in Andrew Morton’s juicy 2010 tell-all, Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography, claiming that after Jolie’s mother, Marcheline Bertrand, split from Jon Voight in 1976, she was so distraught that she holed little Jolie up in a separate apartment where she was looked after by caretakers.

A year later, Morel spilled her guts (yet again) to In Touch, who quoted that the actress was a “lonely toddler” whose time in isolation “did some damage.” The mag also said the 38-year-old is actually an “ice-queen mom who is distant.”

Interestingly (and not surprisingly) this is, of course, in stark contrast to what the Maleficent star herself has said about her beloved mom, who she has described as “grace incarnate.”

The future Mrs. Brad Pitt, who together have six children, recently made headlines for undergoing a double mastectomy as a preventative measure after her mom passed away of ovarian cancer in 2007.

She spoke candidly about her decision in a New York Times article, praising her mother for her strength: “My mother fought cancer for almost a decade and died at 56. She held out long enough to meet the first of her grandchildren and to hold them in her arms. But my other children will never have the chance to know her and experience how loving and gracious she was,” Jolie wrote.

Going even farther back, in a November 2011 60 Minutes interview the actress often described as the “world’s most beautiful woman” held back tears when speaking about her: “Everything was for her children,” she said. “I’ll never be as good as my mother was, I will try my best, but I don’t think I ever will be. She was the most generous loving women, she is better than me.”

And Andrew Morton's juicy new tell-all Angelina: An Unauthorized Biography -- excerpted exclusively in the new Us Weekly -- argues that it all began with a traumatic event in the star's infancy. According to former babysitter Krisann Morel, Jolie's late mother Marcheline Bertrand virtually abandoned her baby daughter after a painful 1976 split from husband Jon Voight.

Morel claims that, for two years, Bertrand sequestered Jolie in a separate apartment in her building, where the young girl was cared for by a revolving staff.

Now 35 and a mother to six kids she shares with love Brad Pitt, Jolie has publicly declared her devotion to Bertrand, who passed away in January 2007 of cancer. But Morton writes that Jolie was permanently scarred by this early abandonment -- leading her to self-destructive acts and a "come here, now go away" personality.

Krisann Morel, who cared for the Jolie & her brother James Haven when they were young, wants Pitt to remain in their kids lives.

LOS ANGELES: Actress Angelina Jolie's former nanny has warned the actress not to inflict a "lonely and traumatic" childhood on her children.

The "Maleficent" actress filed for divorce from husband Brad Pitt last month and is seeking primary custody of their six kids, Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.

Krisann Morel, who cared for the actress and her brother James Haven when they were young, is concerned about the parallels between their split and the "By the Sea" filmmaker's own parents, Jon Voight and the late Marcheline Bertrand, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

"I want to send a message to Angelina, who I care about very much. I want to tell her, don't cut Brad out of the children's lives. Don't demonise your husband. Because that is exactly what your mother did when she was breaking up with your father. And the result was you had a lonely and traumatic childhood. Why would you inflict the same tragedy on your kids? 

"I am worried that Angie is repeating the past and the same mistakes her mother made during her divorce. I want to get this message across to her before it is too late," Morel told Grazia magazine.

After Voight left Bertrand for a young drama student, the actress barred her former husband from seeing the kids, and to this day Jolie is said to have a strained relationship with the actor. 

"Jon was portrayed as this evil figure and Marcheline succeeded in turning both his children against him. But it led to years of heartbreak and wounds that still haven't healed to this day. 

"I'm so surprised Angie (Angelina) is now doing the same to her children," Morel said.
