Yuzu's Kitagawa Yujin & Takashima Aya get married!

Kitagawa Yujin (34) from popular male duo Yuzu and freelance announcer Takashima Aya (32) announced their marriage on October 20th.

According to the announcement, the couple held a wedding ceremony at Misogi Shrine in Yamanashi, and registered their marriage in Yokohama on the same day.

Below is the comment by the couple:

"It's been 6 years since we first met.  Though both of us have spent busy days with work, we were able to maintain our relationship by having many people watching over us.  I (Kitagawa) have decided to start a new family and also spend the rest of my life together with her (Takashima). She is someone who I can respect as a woman and as a human, and who has a warm and kind heart. We will support each other, share with each other, stimulate each other, and continue smiling together.

While cherishing every day, I would like to continue making music that many people will cheer for and makes them smile.  Since she will have to manage both family and a career, I will support her.  Though we are still inexperienced, we hope that everybody will continue to watch over us.  Also, we are planning to hold a reception party in February in my hometown, Yokahama.

At some point of our lives, we all become hopeless romantics where we wish to fall in love the way they do in Japanese Drama. They met six years ago and struggled at keeping their relationship through their difficult schedules and adoring fans. Furthermore, they have reached a point in their relationship where they have truly felt the need to start a family and be there for each other for the rest of their lives. There are no excessive expressions of love. In fact, they only surprised the world with their marriage registration after their marriage already happened. They even celebrated the birth of their first child earlier this year.

As simple as their love story can be, they also had a quiet and simple wedding ceremony at Misogi Shrine in Yamanashi. It was a beautiful union of two people who are truly in love and had their relationship survive many of the heartbreaks and difficulties of living a celebrity lifestyle.
