Marion Cotillard on... Brangelina, motherhood and Marine Le Pen

PUBLISHED
19/02/2017

Sometimes there's just no getting away from Marion Cotillard. Hers is the first face I see when I arrive at Gare du Nord in Paris, propped up in bed with outsize, doodled-on breasts, on a billboard advertising a semi-autobiographical comedy directed by and co-starring her partner Guillaume Canet.

En route to her hotel on a sleepy avenue in the 8th arrondissement, I also spy the 41-year-old French actress on the poster for the César Awards, France's equivalent of the Oscars. The image comes from her 2013 film Blood Ties: she's in a black lace pencil dress, eyes sharp and steady, lips dark as blood.

Were she anyone else, by the time we actually sit down to talk, I'd have probably been sick of the sight of her. But as the 10 years since her Oscar-winning role as Edith Piaf in La Vie en Rose suggest, Cotillard does not seem to be an actress on whom you can overdose.

That's partly to do with the sheer scope of her work, which in the last two years alone has embraced everything from Shakespeare to a video-game blockbuster. But it's more down to Cotillard herself, whose expressive precision and extraordinary face for cinema - open and serene, but with emotion trembling just below the skin - make her the great silent movie star of our time.

It's Only the End of the World, which is released here on Friday, is something for fans of that face to look forward to - an insatiable, tartly comic psychodrama, co-starring Cotillard, about a high-stakes family reunion shot largely in intimate close-up. It's directed by Canadian auteur Xavier Dolan (he's 27 years old, this is somehow his sixth film) and was shot in 20 breakneck days; Cotillard and her fellow French cast members - Léa Seydoux, Vincent Cassel, Nathalie Baye and Gaspard Ulliel - were together for only six.

Cotillard plays Catherine, the timorous sister-in-law of Ulliel's young writer, who has one last chance to bid farewell to his relations, thanks to a ticking terminal illness. The film won the Grand Prix at last year's Cannes Film Festival, where it also caused a good old-fashioned critical crisis. Reviews, like its characters' blustery moods, were all over the shop.

Today, chatting in the early evening over restorative macarons, Cotillard is on a contrastingly even keel, despite being "super tired" by her own admission. She is, after all, eight months pregnant with her second child with Canet, and the smallish, hardish hotel chair on which she continually repositions herself looks about as comfortable as an upturned garden fork. Her five-year-old son, Marcel, is playing next door with his father. Before the interview, she affectionately ruffles his gold-white hair - Marcel, that is, not Canet - and plants a flurry of kisses on his cheek.

The last two years have been a six-film marathon for Cotillard - beginning with It's Only the End of the World, which she shot back in May 2015. After the birth, she says she plans to "at least for a few months, stay away from a movie set," before adding: "A few months might become a year."

But she hasn't been deliberately trying to pack in as many roles as possible before the birth. "It just happened that way," she says in quiet, considered English. "A lot of propositions were irresistible. And technically I could do everything, so I decided to have this experience, which was kind of crazy."

That meant much time spent apart from Canet and Marcel, though she worked out along the way "how to keep this connection with my family and especially my son and my - my man", she smiles, eventually landing on the English mot juste. (The two have been a couple for 10 years, but first met as co-stars in the 2003 romance Love Me If You Dare.) "I've learnt how to balance my life as a lover and a mother - with all those other lives I had to bring to life in my work."

Last September, that careful equilibrium was momentarily sent reeling. Cotillard was caught in the splashback from Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's divorce: she and Pitt played lovers while filming Robert Zemeckis's duplicitous spy romance Allied over the summer and gossip sites wrongly equated fact with fiction. (Cotillard and Canet both posted sturdy rebuttals to rumours of an affair on the social network Instagram). Did she immediately realise people would make that assumption? "No, I didn't," she says. "But I only found out he was getting divorced when I was already getting dragged into the story. Everything happened at the same time. Like, they announced they got divorced, and" - her eyes narrowing - "immediately people started to try to find out why."

One upshot, film-wise, was panic at Paramount, as the studio scrambled to work out how to promote a turbulent love story during the very public end of its leading man's marriage.

With crisp dismay, Cotillard describes the PR meltdown as having "ruined the release of the movie completely". "I loved that movie," she sighs. "I think it's a beautiful story. But we didn't do anything in the press at all in the US. No magazines, no TV, nothing.

"It's a love story, and we should have talked about it this way," she despairs. "But they freaked out and tried to turn it into an action movie, which it is not at all."

By then, Cotillard and Canet had already filmed that soon-to-premiere semi-autobiographical comedy, adverts for which currently plaster Paris. Called Rock 'n' Roll, it shows the couple as eccentric versions of themselves: he a 40-something ex-bright young thing, haplessly negotiating a mid-life crisis, she an achingly earnest thesp who insists on roles that feature "either a disability or an accent".

Cotillard admits she can "abandon" herself to demanding parts, and says the climb out afterwards can be tricky. She made a conscious effort not to take the darkness of Macbeth home to her son after filming Justin Kurzel's adaptation of the Shakespeare play with Michael Fassbender three years ago; shaking off the ghost of Piaf took eight months and a shamanic ritual in Peru.

Though sending up that dedication feels very France-specific - the couple are intensely famous there; a kind of locally reared Brangelina that outlasted the multinational version - Rock 'n' Roll was influenced, in a roundabout way, by It's Only the End of the World, which Cotillard was about to shoot when Canet wrote his script. Dolan's previous films are all set in French-speaking Quebec, so in Rock 'n' Roll, Canet has Cotillard obsessively practicing Québécois in readiness to work with the flamboyant young Canadian.

"I don't have a natural ability to find accents," she says. "It's hours of work a day for weeks and months, and he wanted to poke fun at that."

Cotillard was raised in a theatrical family: her mother and father, Niseema Theillaud and Jean-Claude Cotillard, are both stage actors and directors, and brought up Marion and her younger identical twin brothers, Quentin and Guillaume - now a sculptor and a writer respectively - in the Paris suburb of Alfortville.

But she disavows any link between the highly strung family on screen and her own: instead, tactfully unnamed "friends" provided her inspiration. She does admit, however, with eyes as wide and enthused as a mad scientist's, that she often found herself studying her son to find new perspectives on basic human behaviour.

"He was kind of a lab rat for me," she says. "I had, every day, every night under my eyes, the evolution of a new human being. I would catch myself staring at him, trying to figure him out, trying to feel again what I felt during that same process of evolution - from crawling to walking to mumbling to talking."

Two summers ago, when Marcel had just turned three, she and Canet took him to see the French version of the animated film Minions, in which they voiced the two villains played in the English release by Sandra Bullock and Jon Hamm. He didn't recognise them, but piped up the next day that the characters had sounded "weird", and was later let in on the secret. Telling this story, she warms and softens - her expression worlds away from the various severe and sultry Cotillards pasted up around Paris's wintry streets.

But the French capital, even less so today than usual, is no city of smiles. Outside, two faces dominate the news-stands: both women's, both severe. One belongs to Penelope Fillon, the wife of the conservative presidential hopeful François Fillon, and recipient of €500,000 of public money for an alleged non-job that seems likely to sink her husband's candidacy. The other is that of Marine Le Pen, leader of the far-right populist Front National, and front-runner in the first-round polls.

Cotillard was in Los Angeles for the Allied premiere on US election day, and believes France is susceptible to the same rising tide of illiberalism that swept Trump into the White House.

"The same poison is used in each and every case," she says of Le Pen's swelling presidential hopes. "Nobody thought Trump would be elected, nobody thought Brexit would be real. So you cannot ignore that it could happen. Months ago I would have never thought that we could go that low. But today, I have to say, I'm not sure any more."

Amid that uncertainty, doesn't she worry that her job - essentially, make-believe - somehow matters less than it may have done six months ago?

"No!" she replies, with a look so intent I feel as if I could somehow topple forward into it. "Art can do a lot. Art is a way to express things freely. It brings questions. Art is solid. It's the world that's fragile."

Marion Cotillard: 'The Oscars don't make any sense'

24th Dec 16 | Entertainment News

Marion Cotillard isn't driven by the idea of winning awards for her acting work.

The French actress, 41, won the Academy Award for Best Actress in 2008, but doesn't believe in competition for prizes within the film industry.

"I think when you're a runner and every runner is on the same line and going to run the same race, then competition might make sense," she told Total Film magazine. "It doesn't make sense to have a competition between movies, actors, directors."

Marion's win, for her portrayal the singer Edith Piaf in biopic La Vie En Rose, is still the only time the prize has been awarded for a performance not given in the English language.

The star said that although she is flattered when receiving honours, she finds the whole system that sees some films, actors and actresses feted and others not incomprehensible.

"I'm not saying that I don't care - I appreciate when I win an award - but for me competition doesn't make sense," she added.

Despite her aversion to the process, the Paris-born actress has racked up nominations and gongs at film festivals and awards ceremonies over a career spanning more than two decades.

However, she explains that her dedication to acting comes from her love of it rather than a desire for accolades, saying, "I've never, never done this job to win awards."

"To the Assad regime, Russia, and Iran -- three Member States behind the conquest of and carnage in Aleppo -- you bear responsibility for these atrocities. By rejecting UN-ICRC evacuation efforts, you are signaling to those militia who are massacring innocents to keep doing what they are doing.
Denying or obfuscating the facts, as you will do today -- saying up is down, black is white -- will not absolve you. When one day there is a full accounting of the horrors committed in this assault of Aleppo -- and that day will come, sooner or later -- you will not be able to say you did not know what was happening. You will not be able to say you were not involved. We all know what is happening. And we all know you are involved.
Aleppo will join the ranks of those events in world history that define modern evil, that stain our conscience decades later. Halabja, Rwanda, Srebrenica, and, now, Aleppo.
To the Assad regime, Russia, and Iran, your forces and proxies are carrying out these crimes. Your barrel bombs and mortars and airstrikes have allowed the militia in Aleppo to encircle tens of thousands of civilians in your ever-tightening noose. It is your noose. Three Member States of the UN contributing to a noose around civilians.
"Are you truly incapable of shame? Is there literally nothing that can shame you? Is there no act of barbarism against civilians, no execution of a child that gets under your skin, that just creeps you out a little bit? Is there nothing you will not lie about or justify?"

'An amazing partner who is an amazing actor': Marion Cotillard gushes of co-star Brad Pitt and his 'determination' on set of Allied

By JULIA PRITCHARD
25 November 2016

They have been jetting all over the world together as they promote their new WWII drama Allied.

And Marion Cotillard admitted that she could not have asked for a more 'amazing partner' to work with than Brad Pitt, in her interview with The Telegraph on Friday.

Having shot down all affair rumours last month, the French actress, 41, had nothing but high praise for the 52-year-old Moneyball star, who she revealed was incredibly 'determined' and 'committed' to his role.

The brunette beauty could not help but gush about Brad's professionalism in the interview, and confessed he was a dream to work with both on and off screen.

She first described the star as: 'An amazing partner who is such an amazing actor.'

Before continuing: 'I was very impressed by his determination and commitment and he's such a good man besides being an amazing actor. He's proved it many times.'

Despite their winning chemistry however, the La Vie En Rose beauty admitted she found the sex scenes in the movie very uncomfortable to film, due to their overly choreographed nature.

'It's an awkward situation,' she continued on one particular scene which sees the pair getting hot and heavy in a car during a sand storm: 'We laughed because... this is so weird... And then we go into this, and then I'm going on top of you, and then we are going to kiss.'

The pair have proved they have a strong bond at the recent premieres for the flick - after they were pictured fooling around together and high-fiving on the red carpet in London last week.

However, after rumours arose earlier this year of an affair between the two actors, Marion has since been quick to assure that they are nothing but good friends.

Brad announced he was separating from partner of 12 years Angelina Jolie as promotional proceedings for Allied were kicking off - causing speculation of a romance between him and the French actress to swirl.

Yet Marion, who is pregnant with her second child with long-term partner Guillame Canet, closed the door on the gossip during an interview on the Today Show last week.

She explained: 'I never take anything personally when it doesn't concern me. So I didn't take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumours or situation.'

She was then pressed by interviewer Matt Lauer who asked if she had let any of the whispers affect the making of the movie.

Marion replied: 'No I don't give energy to this and it was a wonderful, wonderful experience working with such a visionary director and amazing actor so that's all that matters.'

The Inception star has been with Guillaume since 2007, and the pair already have five-year-old son Marcel, who will be joined by a younger sibling in the new year.

Meanwhile it was at the LA premiere for the film where Brad confirmed he was getting back to good health and happiness, as he thanked fans for support during his difficult few weeks.

Review: Brad Pitt, Marion Cotillard as sentimental spies in 'Allied'

Fred Hawson
Posted at Nov 25 2016 11:47 AM

We all first heard about this movie when it had the unfortunate association with the biggest breakup news in Hollywood this year -- the divorce of power-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. One of the reasons being floated was an alleged affair of Pitt with his co-star in the film, French actress Marion Cotillard. This had shades of "Mr. and Mrs. Smith" (2005), incidentally also a film about married spies, where Brad Pitt dumped Jennifer Aniston in favor of his co-star Jolie. Gossip aside, the quality of this film looked outstanding based from the trailers alone. This was THE movie to watch this week.

It was 1942. Canadian intelligence officer Max Vatan got together with French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour in Casablanca, Morocco. They pretended to be husband and wife in order to infiltrate a German function to execute a dangerous mission together. The couple fell in love for real, got married in London, and had a child. However, Max was presented with military intel that threatened their blissful union. Defying his orders, Max is determined to fix the problem in his own way.

The first thing that really strikes you with this film is its glossy and lush cinematography by Don Burgess (Oscar winner for "Forrest Gump," 1994). This is clearly reminiscent of big epic romantic films in the past like "The English Patient". The desert scenes were sweeping and breathtaking, as was the love scene in the car during a sandstorm. The production design (by Gary Freeman) and costume designs (by Joanna Johnston) were also of Oscar-worthy quality and elegance. The lead actors both have qualities of Old Hollywood glamour which completes the film's captivating look of cinematic prestige.

Even now in his 50s, Brad Pitt can still do these romantic lead roles very well. The camera loves his visage and he looked impeccable whatever he was wearing, be it just undershirts or a formal tuxedo or a full uniform. He has been in a couple of other World War II films just recently, "Inglorious Basterds" (2009) and "Fury" (2014), so he fit into this role quite smoothly. He was also able to handle creditably the dramatic requirements of the role, that of a desperate husband who had to secretly find a way to save his marriage and still make everything look normal on the surface.

Marion Cotillard was gorgeous and vibrant as her character was supposed to be. Her depth as an actress was in full display here in a complex role, enhanced by her fashionable outfits and radiant smile. She owned the Morocco scenes with her magnetic outgoing screen presence. It was too bad that her role somewhat got curtailed when the story moved to London, but her Marianne was clearly the driving inspiration behind Max's every action even if we do not see her on screen.

Director Robert Zemeckis should be credited for the incredible suspense he had created in the last sequences of this film. He took his time, which had us all hanging on to the edges of our seats as he built-up to the emotional and sentimental climax. This sentimentality was what won Zemeckis the Oscar for "Forrest Gump" (1994) after all. He also used the mirror a lot for many of his scenes, probably hinting on the illusions spies have to create in their line of work, hence some imaginative blocking and camera angles were employed.

Overall, I thought this film was engaging on a visual and emotional level. The beauty of the landscape and the actors will transport you to another place and time as only Hollywood can. This extreme glamour may keep you distant but you will be kept interested and hanging on up to its ultimate resolution. Admittedly, the romance part could have been better built up in the first act especially with Max's cold detached personality making chemistry difficult. Definitely though, the wartime intrigue and mystery investigation give the film the spice and excitement it needs later in the game. 8/10

Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard join forces to promote 'Allied' and quash rumors

CONFIDENTIAL
Tuesday, November 22, 2016

High five, up high, over the pond.  Brad Pitt gives Marion Cotillard a little skin as they team up to promote "Allied."

The first rule of fighting a rumor: Punch it in the face.

Brad Pitt did just that at Monday night’s London premiere of “Allied,” where he shared the red carpet with co-star Marion Cotillard despite months-old rumors that she had played a role in the “Fight Club” star's split from Angelina Jolie.

According to our insider, organizers were nervous about pairing Pitt and Cotillard on the carpet before the notoriously aggressive British paparazzi and celebrity reporters.

“They were afraid it would reignite all the rumors, knowing how the British tabloids are,” according to our spy.

Under orders from organizers, Cotillard strode the red carpet first — but then Pitt rushed to her side.

“When Brad found out, he overruled his overprotective P.R. people and went to greet Marion,” we’re told.

One day earlier at the French premiere for the World War II flick, Pitt and Cotillard appeared together, which hadn’t been the case in past promotional events for the flick.

“He apparently feels he did nothing wrong and probably figured it would look worse if they avoided each other,” according to our source.

That insider says Pitt broke the ice by walking over to Cotillard and greeting her with a “kind of weird” high-five.

“You could tell it wasn't rehearsed,” the source said, adding that the actors then stood together, smiling and posing for photos.

“They whispered something to each other, but no one else could hear what it was,” we're told.

When news broke in mid-September that Pitt and Jolie were ending their two-year marriage, Cotillard took to Instagram to dispel rumors that she had anything to do with it — despite sharing plenty of time on the “Allied” set with the hunky star.

“This situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up,” Cotillard wrote. “Many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.”

She was talking about Guillaume Canet, not Brad Pitt.

The iconic actor was in town to promote new film Allied – the movie which was rumoured to have ended his marriage.

Dressed in a black coat and suit, Brad looked dapper as ever as he made his way down the red carpet in Leicester Square with co-star Marion Cotillard.

Despite being spotting looking tired and downcast in recent weeks, the 52-year-old appeared in high spirits as he posed for the cameras and signed autographs for waiting fans.

Brangelina's split has over showed the release of the WWII drama, with Marion recently discussing the situation live on Good Morning America.

"I never take anything personally when it doesn't concern me," she explained when asked about the false rumours.

"I didn't take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumours or situation."

"He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.

"Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn't distressing."

She then added: "I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment."

Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard Turn the Allied Premiere into Colorblock Heaven

Marion Cotillard Brad Pitt Allied Paris Premiere

After stops in the U.S. and Asia, on Sunday night Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt's whirlwind Allied promo tour landed them in Cotillard's hometown: Paris.

Cotillard, who is pregnant with her second child, dressed her blossoming baby bump in a crimson one-shoulder Dior dress. The radiant free-flowing gown featured a single long sleeve and a modest knee-grazing slit and hinted subtly at the 41-year-old's changing silhouette beneath it. For the chilly November night, the Oscar winner styled her brown strands in fuss-free waves and opted for a low-key pink pout and slight smokey eye.

Beside her—just one week after making his solo red carpet debut since confirming his split from Angelina Jolie—Pitt, 52, looked every bit the leading man in a sharp navy suit with a matching overcoat and scarf draped artfully over his lapels.

A sweeping romantic thriller, Allied tells the story of an American intelligence officer (Pitt) who falls in love with a French Resistance fighter (played by Cotillard) while on a mission in North Africa during WWII.

Allied storms into theaters this week, on Nov. 23.

Oscar-winning Marion Cotillard couldn't wait for 'Allied' to start filming

By Calvin Wilson St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Being nominated for an Academy Award is a rare honor, and receiving such recognition more than once is rarer still. But Marion Cotillard has been singled out twice in that regard — and in both cases for French-language roles.

A French actress who frequently stars in American films, she took home an Oscar for her performance as legendary chanteuse Edith Piaf in the biopic “La Vie en Rose” (2007). The other nod came for Cotillard’s performance in “Two Days, One Night” (2014), as a worker threatened with unemployment.

Her latest film, “Allied,” opens Wednesday. In the spy drama set during World War II and directed by Robert Zemeckis (“Flight”), Cotillard plays a French Resistance fighter who becomes involved with a Canadian spy portrayed by Brad Pitt.

One of the things that attracted to her the project, Cotillard said, was its blend of old-fashioned and contemporary sensibilities.

“What Bob Zemeckis wanted was the spirit of an old movie, but with all of the technology that we have today,” she said. “I read the script four years ago and fell in love with it. There was no question of saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ — I was just waiting for this movie to be made.”

One of the perks of the project was working with Pitt: “He’s an amazing actor — everybody knows that. And he’s down to earth.”

Cotillard has been praised for her wide acting range — encompassing characters from the adorable Adriana in Woody Allen’s fantastical comedy “Midnight in Paris” (2011) to the manipulative Mal in Christopher Nolan’s cerebral heist movie “Inception” (2010).

“I never know how the character will start to live in me,” she said. “It can come from nowhere. But I love the fact that I never know how I’m going to work or what’s going to happen.”

Working on “Two Days, One Night,” she said, was one of the highlights of her career so far. The film was written and directed by Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne, who are known as the Dardenne Brothers and whose work is more arthouse than mainstream. Because of Cotillard’s participation, “Two Days, One Night” became one of their more high-profile films.

“That was really unexpected,” she said. “I’m a huge fan of the Dardenne Brothers, but I never thought that one day I would be part of one of their projects. That was a dream that I had never dared to dream.”

Acting, she said, is something she’s always wanted to do.

“There’s this thing about actors. We want to tell stories.”

COMMENTS

It's all insecure Angie's fault!

She is by far one of the top leading character actresses on the screen presently...

She could show Angelina a lot about class!

She is elegant and tasteful.

and fresh and youthful. It makes her so much more beautiful than maleficent

Angie is probably the one who started these nasty rumors. She wants the movie to bomb. Nasty woman. I hate when women, or men, get a divorce and can't act like adults during the process. Grow up! It's sad, these two loved each other at point. Now it's all about rumors and dirty secrets. Pathetic.

Beautiful and classy, as always.

Good for her for rising above Angelina and her attempts to paint her as the reason for divorce. One of the best blowbacks of attempted mud slinging I've seen in a long time. Class

Smart and gorgeous woman

She is gorgeous. Angelina looks like a g0d d@mned corpse

Divorce sucks and when there is custody “war” it just takes everything out of you.People tell you how you have to move on,get out there,it is not easy.Brad will get joint custody,California is very pro both parents are equally involved.Angelina has no idea what she is “in for”.Kids are on a constant schedule,if she wants to travel with them..permission needed..Holidays..half time here the other there. If Brad gets involved with someone..get ready for new woman in kids lives. She grew up with her mother but as I understand it father was not involved much, mother was the only one making decisions in kids lives..so Angelina has no clue what it involves. She seems to be a very independent ,head strong woman who is used to making ONLY her decisions but that will change when it comes to her kids.I have a feeling she will be sorry one day and wish things could have gone differently.

What a bitch Angelina Jolie is,,I never liked her,,She's very dirty looking to me, She planned this all along to hurt him..Brad hope you pull your self together and kick butt, Only wish Jennifer was single, They should never have been divorced..

I wish Brad the best. Hopefully soon he will have shared custody of his kids and meet a wonderful person and live his life being happy. Living well is the best revenge.

He looks genuinely happy here! I think"she," was so depressing, strange and controlling in that relationship --he is finally feeling free & it shows.

Oh yea you're the man don't ever forget that, i will always support you Brad Pitt, love ya

Enjoy Life, you deserve it, you are a wonderful man, father and actor !

Glad he is out and about. Hope he gets shared custody and life will go on.

What a nice difference after he is free of the woman who turned his world upside down. You go, Brad. See your guy friends again for God's sake!

Be the guy you used to be, before you were with the ' ICE QUEEN

Handsome as ever!

He looks great!!

Wow looks better than ever

He looks good. Dumping that mental case has done him good

He looks alive and has his color back. That walking corpse he was with drained him.

So all he did was spank his own kid because the kid was out of line? Umm give him applause. Sometimes timeout just doesn't work. Angelina don't cry child abuse if he is trying to better your sons view of parental authority. Geez

So Maddox told brad to shut the fck up? If true I think I'd have a hard time smiling and politely reasoning with the child vs knocking his block off. Ok I'm not actually doing that but think parents of teens can relate !!

So good to see a smile on his face, nice work Julia. I think the only reason Angelina married Brad was so she could get legal custody of the kids. If not married he could have taken them all and there would be nothing she could do except go to court to get them back. I know Brad cheated on Jennifer but he does not deserve to be treated like a monster. Angie is monster enough for both of them

Brad Pitt will find that he is much better off without Jolie.

Brad is back and looking way better than in those married times. Hope he feels better and strong.

Anyone from the planet Earth would be better then Angelina! She is a nut bag!!

Glad Brad is getting out and surrounded by good friends like Julia.

Wow he looks more rested ! Muah biiiiig hug from me :) keep up the positive thoughts

Wow !! He looks way better divorced. Back to his old self.

I love Brad. He is a nice man. As Angelina always said Brad is a good father and he deserves to have the custody of the kids too.

Wow, he looks normal here. Not controlled by a b!tch! Brad trust me you'll do fine..

Aww he looks so happy and a genuine smile

Wow! Brad looks great! Haven't seen him look so alive in years!

He looks radiant! I don't think I've ever seen him smile like that.

I think a competency hearing for Angelina Jolie is definitely in order.
Someone needs to ascertain whether she's sane enough to be a parent.
She's vile, vindictive and easily unhinged

Brad Pitt does believe in a normal family life with structure and she flits from one thing to another. She's the one who needs to prove herself a fit parent.

... She's a joke...I'm not even Team Brad or Team Angelina but PRO co-parenting when there's not an issue of real endangerment (physical, p.ervy etc.) to a child...Who does she think she's fooling with her sanctimonious speeches...gag reflex...

Not a nice person!!

Go away you mean nothing

I guess she needed an attention fix It is all about her... the rest is faux

Who will her next victim be?

Can anyone explain to me what her qualifications are for this kind of position? Being a child of rich and connected parents? Being a mediocre actor? Stunning cheekbones?

Totally agree. It would be hard to find a more self-satisfied, pious, smug person. Awful.

Brad gave her like-ability. Without Brad she's back to being an oddball. It's hard to respect a woman like her. She has burned her last bridge as far as I am concerned. I think she wanted kids for selfish purposes. But then I'm sure she has a lot of help.

Sorry Angie - Saint Jolie has gone

Queen of the Correct Club. Do things her way or your OUT! Gee, much like many millennials today.

'Successful prosecution OF BRAD, BECAUSE HE DARED TO FALL OUT OF LOVE WITH ME, whether at the ICC or CA DCFS (DESPITE THE FACT THAT HE WAS CLEARED OF ALL WRONGDOING BASED ON DOZENS OF HOURS OF TESTIMONY FROM MY KIDS AND EVERY SINGLE WITNESS elsewhere is part of the long and vital generational effort SO THAT ONLY I CAN HAVE CUSTODY OF MY KIDS, SO THAT I CAN STILL PRETEND THAT I AM A SAINT AND I DON'T WANT HIS MONEY WHILE COLLECTING CHILD SUPPORT $$$$ TIMES SIX, FOR EACH KID. That is the light in which I believe the court¿s new policy on children should be seen, BUT I WANT IT TO START WITH ME BC NOBODY DARES TO DEFY ME OR I WILL DESTROY THEM LIKE I SET OUT TO DO TO HIS FIRST WIFE BY USING MY TLOL1365@CHIVAN... EMAIL ACCOUNT TO POST HORRIBLE INSULTS AND LIES ABOUT HER ON EVERY GOSSIP SITE ON THE INTERNET ,' I fixed it for you, Angelina.

She has lost all credibility!! No one is interested in what she has to say because nothing she says can be believed

I wouldn't call her a C list actresses before Brad. She has an academy award. But she's wrong to lie on the father of her children, than try and act like she's all about kids. When she's not thinking about the damage she's doing to her own kids.

Who is going to campaign for her children, who are prevented from seeing their father?

It's hard to see anything she does in a positive light considering how she treated the father of her children. She is not believable anymore.

lol...of course the crashing and burning of her carefully crafted image bothers her! people who aren't concerned about their image don't hire expensive top of the line PR spin doctors and release deliberately misleading statements designed to pretend she's winning every 5 minutes! she's a bitter self-absorbed phoney and it's showing.

She should be sobbing for her children who have been robbed of their dad. She has serious issues. They need a sane parent.

She has no credibility and no business speaking about children's welfare. She is putting her own children through hell and trying to destroy their father's reputation, career and chances at being a good parent. She needs therapy

Is that you Angie? Go see a shrink

given that angie's the one disrupting their lives, erasing any measure of stability, trying with all her might to destroy their father and in such a public fashion to boot, meaning there's been so many falsities about him they easily could have read the past two months if even ONE of them has so much as a phone, and actively practicing parental alienation.......she's the one acting like a controlling abuser hun.

I don't like seeing her face anymore. She is despicable!!! I don't think she has any business being around children.

Message to Angelina, Please look after the well being of your own children before you try to take on the world. (Dublin, Ireland)

Her ego is huge..needs a reality check...

Put your children in school, let them create friendships with children other than their siblings, let them see their father who you are slurring with your lies.

Her marriage to Brad will overshadow anything she ever does.

Why would anyone believe what she has to say about children.

After reading about the way she treats her own kids (late nights, nannies, depriving them of contact with their Dad) maybe she should be looking after them first before "fighting" For what's right for kids over the world

She has lost all credibility!! No one is interested in what she has to say anymore because nothing she says can be believed

Wow, really; she must think she is invincible.

don't bother, no one takes you seriously, give it up.

Watch the video. Laughable. SHE should be charged with crimes against HER children.

What a phoney wack job!

Honestly, since when does anything she has to say matter to world politics. She's got some opinion of herself!! (canada)

what is she talking about? These are meaningless words. I wonder how long she will retain her various ambassadorial roles? Recently she has made herself appear vengeful and unbalanced. Not really the kind of person a compassionate body would want to represent them, however famous she is. She's rather sinister.

lock up your rabbits, the bunny boiler is a comingggggggg

She looks old and BC she's so skinny she lost her beauty too. As she gets older she's also been developing the same crazy eyed look her brother has.

She's playing the part of her latest role - sainted humanitarian - and hoping we all forget the role she plays of ruthless crazy woman in real life.

Without Brad she's just a weirdo again.

Jolie has been publicly exposed as the witch she really is. No one is buying her humanitarian crap anymore. Charity starts at home.

Sorry lady, I am not your fan anymore.

Heard Alied is beautiful. Off to see it today.

I don't believe in Angelina anymore.

She is a phony.

She has indeed lost credibility and forfeited her right to speak on children's issues. And, unfortunately, it will be the children who have lost an advocate that will suffer for her mental illness and weakness as a human being.

But she's spot on about Jolie being a lunatic.

Team Brad

Living lies.

Got no respect for the woman at all. You don't drag kids into a divorce and then cry your husband needs supervised access as he can't be trusted. Don't believe it for a second.

Oh shut up already

She's angling for an incredibly high profile position at the UN [up to, and including, Secretary General], and she'll step on anyone who gets in her way. She epitomizes everything that's wrong with the global elite, and that's why they worship her. She'll probably end up with Leonardo and they'll be the ultimate symbol of the just how vacuous the establishment has become.

Her eyes look empty and evil, Brad is way better off without her for sure !

Sometimes the most stunning flowers are the most poisonous.

To speak on childrens issues while using her children against her husband blows my mind. She will be right up there with Joan Crawford as a role model for being a good mother.

her mind is a mess.

I will never see any of her movies. !!! We should all boycott her.

She's so over....

The UN are badly behind the times if they still think using this woman brings them any benefits. Quite the opposite now, I'd say.

Who is going to campaign for her children, who are prevented from seeing their father?

She looks horrible. Hope she's ok. Wow!!! #notbeautifulanylonger

she's needs to speak out for her children's right to see their father...

You have no authority to talk about children's rights;you removed your child's parent rights

I think she's trying to do this so that she can take her kids all over the world and if she has custody she could do that she's POS

Its hard to listen to her talk about children's rights when she is destroying her own.

Angelina Jolie sold her baby photos to the press so that they'd never report any negative news about her ever again.

How can she be an ambassador to children when she indulges in illustri whatever its called. Twisted behaviour and indulging with dark forces are not healthy for the family.

She's a hypocrite. Children's rights pfft. She's messing her own children up with her accusations She's not a credible spokesperson

All her efforts and energy go on her pouting she doesn't even know what she's saying... thanks for the cues!

Oh whatever, that video is such an actors farce.

She needs to deal w her life first.

Put her under mouth arrest. Tell her to look in the mirror.

Her entire face looks sideways.

I totally dislike her....and i used to be a huge fan of hers..now she is just becoming more and more evil as the day goes by.....cant believe she is going after Brad like this...

She shd never been allowed to adopt or have children. With her being a junky + with her being mental ill. JMO (just my opinion)

She's a very mean lady

Women are calculating and conniving in relationships

She needs to keep quiet. As if Brad could be a worse parent than her. She is nasty and he has always been first class. (Until he married her)

Teaching your 6 year old to be a transsexual is child abuse.

Every. Single. Thing. Jolie does is calculated.

I think its a good thing that she is looking out for abused children in the world, but, in her case, she seems to be dragging Brad through the lime light of the Hollywood mud. I think people are losing a lot of respect of her ( Well the ones that had it before all of this ) not so much for what she is doing, but the way she is going about doing it. She seems to be more interested in her outcome , then the family outcome as a whole. Well, that's just my opinion.

Any parent who airs their problems in public is wrong.

Her other kids want to stay w Brad,so what does that mean?

Maybe Maddox was just disciplined by Brad like a normal father and son situation.I think Angelina doesn't believe in hitting kids so she took that one as an abusive act.If that's the case then Asians and Africans would have the biggest divorce rate;p

The real "crimes against children" is her allowing a young child to act and dress like the opposite gender and filling their mind with liberal propaganda.

My grandma always said "pretty is as pretty does"... by that standard, Angelina Jolie is hideously ugly all the way to the bone.

The woman is a nut case . . . Brad is neither mentally or physically abusive to the children.

She is bat caa caa crazy, feel sorry for those kids.

Angry glint there, maybe not the best approach for whatever this was recorded for. Whatever happened between her and him, she needs to let it go for the children and for her own well being.

That's her Maleficent face.

Lol, I said below that she looks like she's playing a queen that is looking down her nose with eyebrows raised, knighting some poor fool that is kneeling at her feet. She's become very good at that look. It started on the red carpet, shortly after she poached Anistons husband, lol.

She really needs to disappear, stop pointing out the children's father and practice what she says. Any little bit of credibility she had, is long gone.

I feel so sorry for their children. This whole drama between her and Brad is just awful.

Go away for a while Angie. You seem vindictive and the look is bad. Focus on home.

Ohhhhh go away. What little respect you had is now lost with ur attempt to smear the father of ur childern. You claim to be a humanitarian but you cut people out for no reason and never look back, just like ur mom did. Thats not a humanitarian. You need professional help and those childern need to be in a more healthier hom

Charity begins at home and she needs to stop emotionally abusing her own children before she worries about the world's. Parental alienation is absolutely abusive and those kids need to be moved to their father until AJ gets psychological help. The longer she has them, the more damage she is doing to them.
And TMZ... those entities didn't just close their cases. They closed their cases after finding Angelina's abuse charges to be unsubstantiated and without basis in reality.

I can't wait to find out who it was that called the authorities. 10 bucks says it AJ or AJ told one of the crew on the plane to do it. But, in the end, I wouldn't doubt it was Maddox. My little step brother did the same thing after my father had some strong words for him after he was caught smoking weed and skipping school.

Well, obviously it was "one of them" there is nobody else, unless she texted her assistant back in Cali. Either way it was AJ or Maddox that was at the forefront of the call. Whether by making the call or ordering it to be done by someone else.

It was also reported elsewhere that, when DCFS was about to close the investigation around October 20th, Angelina and their boys leveled further accusations about Brad shouting at them and shoving them two years ago. When DCFS interviewed the kids separately, one of the boys (I am assuming the little one) couldn't keep the details of "what happened" straight and changed his story. It was obvious to DCFS at that point that the kids had been coached and there had been no abuse then either.

Saint Angie, don't go away mad, just go away. You are irrelevant.

Vile and bitter

Pfft! She's nutso! Brad did not "brutalize" Maddox on that plane. DCFS would have found something. Angelina is looking for any excuse to control the whole situation. When and where brad and his family sees those kids. She can't stand the fact that he comes from a loving and stable family that wants to be with their kids. She can't handle life unless she has turmoil in it.

hm she was with him for over 12 years and they acquired numerous kids TOGETHER. another silly post lacking in basic logic.

I just love watching AngieJo make statements where it's totally obvious how highly she regards her own opinion and words. She looked like she was playing a Queen addressing her minions, and half expected to see her bring out a scepter to knight some poor fool kneeling down before her feet, lol. She loves to tilt that pretty head back and look down her nose with her eyebrows raised. Lol. What a self absorbed drama queen!!

I understand why she's speaking now, which she has done many times in the past, and why NOW we are seeing videos of it. Again, nobody cared about her "speeches" for the UN, until the divorce announcement.

Lol, have you been living under a rock? She speaks all the time, we just don't usually get the videos of it, since it hasn't mattered to most of us until the DIVORCE announcement. Now, every time the woman farts we're gonna have a video of her telling what it felt like to all the children of the world.

Angie is a psychotic nut.

Her wedding dress alone, showed why she married Pitt. It was and has always been about the kids.

What she is doing to their kids is emotionally abusive... and it is the same abuse visited on her by her mother.
And DCFS cleared him.

Go away you weird bloodless B!

Angie, why don't you finally sit down and shut up.

Angelina is all about public opinion, which is why I do not believe the motives behind her UN work are completely altruistic. She and Brad had already agreed to divorce and had worked out all the details, including the precise date and time they would make a civil and nicey-nice joint announcement. But Angie had been seething for a long time about Brad agreeing to do this film, and how it might affect her perceived desirability, so she waited for an opportunity. When she saw the Daily Mail headlines about George and Amal Clooney at the UN roundtable with the President on September 19 she was furious to not have been invited so she snapped and filed same day, though the alleged plane incident had happened days earlier, on September 15.

Disgusting woman

I can't even bare to listen to her when she's using the kids against Brad. This will backfire on her and her "dreams" if she doesn't behave.

Her ego is huge..needs a reality check...

Why would anyone believe what she has to say about children.

Oh what an evil woman! Brad could keep his ex wife and he would be happy, but what goes around cams around ... hope he learnt his lesson and look at the inner beauty rather and be a better person himself and not cheat on ... however when about the kids I believe Angelina is so evil and unfair ... hope she gets what she deserves lol as yep she can't change obviously ..

Wow. She only managed a few weeks out of circulation. She probably wants to take over from Mother Theresa or worse Princess Di......I hope Brad gets the kids, they apparently need education and boundaries.

It's always better for families to stick and stay together but then she had to ruin it for. Women find it so easy to break a family into pieces.

She is such a nut. Study her entire life. She always wants to appear innocent. She is a very good actress in real life, not just films. Poor Brad, you were setup, she planned that.

I thought she had changed but I guess not. Trying to take Brad's' kids away from him is just evil.

She campaigns for other childrens wefare, but mistreats her own ,by dissing thier father to the newpapers

When she was wearing that vile of blood around her neck & passionately kissing her brother should've been a red flag for any guy who can, walk & chew gum at the same time.

She's done being a liberal trying to save the world by adopting a child of every race so that people can accept her as a non-racist progressive heroine, but it failed completely and she made no difference in the world.

She's a nutcase.... girl interupt in real life

She really wants her career back with these stunts, what a nut

The family breaker lecturing us on how to treat children?????????? What a hypocrite?????????

Meanwhile, she's maliciously trying to take her kids away from their father. Hypocrite!

Hypocrite . You are not fit to help children when you can't even look after yourself.

Campaign for kids? The greatest campaign you can give a kid is to raise the kid in a happy home

I now regret the Ethiopian decision of letting you adopt a kid, only to let her grow in a polarized home.

malificent in the flesh with none of the "redeeming" qualities

I hope nobody knocks Angelina Jolie for highlighting crimes against children.

She will never be recognised for any work she does she is just evil

she is pure evil. i feel so sorry for brad putting up with her BS

If you doesn't get custody she can always choose them out of the catalogue like she did before.

Is she really only 41, she looks more like a frail 61. Just cannot stand her,

Pls go away... you're evil woman....hypocrite...I lost my admiration to you after what you did to Brad Pitt...

I am LOVING all these comments! This creature indeed! Shut up Angelina... You are sooooooooo DONE! I'm absolutely loving it that YOU ruined your own credibility and reputation and not Brad who did it! Best day ever would be knowing she saw EVERY LAST COMMENT HERE!

Has a look on [her] face like she just walked into the grand ballroom and smelled cauliflower cooking (I Love Lucy quotes) as her floating Kim Jung Un/Big Brother talking head sends a recorded message to her minions/the little people from on high...f r e a k much? so out of touch with everyone else on the planet and zero self-awareness

she looks so slimey an creepy..never liked her..not the best actor in the world.

She is unbalanced. What she has done to Brad Pitt is scandalous!

Saying he emotionally and physically abused the children i find hard to believe . As if she would have put up with that and i highly doubt hes a child abuser . Shes a cow

This woman is as fake as the make up she wears!!!

 Angelina get off the heroin

 I wish she'd go away.

Fights 4 others but not 4 her own family

I never cared for her. I think she has some serious mental issues ever since she tongue kissed her brother on stage & carried billy bobs blood in a vial around her neck. Shes also probably in menopause w/her hysterectomy. Shes so very thin. I would be worried about her physical & mental well being if I were a family member. I saw the movie Gia~a true story~but I felt like she was playing herself.

She is a nutcase! I lost any respect for her when she asked for sole custody of their kids. Kids need their father in their lives just as much as their mother. She is a selfish woman and a control freak. Hopefully the courts will see that too.

but of course it is... She's a control freak.. She'll make him look worse then the situation really is.. No one knows exactly what happen.. But i'm sure she'll spin to look like she's the innocent one..

What about the crime she is committing against her own children of Parental Alienation against their father? How about that?

Brad has already been cleared so, it doesn't make a difference if it's a slick shot @ him or not.

Shouldn't she be out drinking blood or making out with her brother. First she lies about Brad now this. Her lawyer must need a lot of help

Best post I've seen about this. This is a horrible thing she is doing to her kids. Holding them hostage from their father?!? She doesn't even clue into that

And she should be under investigation and have a psychological evaluation!

Yes Troy is great movie. I started liking Brad Pitt after watching this very epic movie. Awsome acting by BP..

you don't use UR children as weapons

"That is the light in which I believe the court¿s new policy on children should be seen." That is a way of expressing something that is not the most elegant.

THIS WICKED PIECE OF WORK THREW THE 'ABUSE' BOMB INTO THE COURT ARENA IMMEDIATELY TO SHUT BRAD OUT OFOR HIS KIDS LIVES. THIS IS CALLED PARENTAL ALIENATION SYNDROME!! NASTY PICE OF WORK!

She wants the whole custody of the kids? Well the judge should at least make sure Brad is to have joint custody for his biological children. The other 3 will automatically hire their own lawyer once older against Angie for ruining there lives. Seriously I see these adopted kids as a priced trophies then children. She's spoilt them rotten including her biological kids. At least they will have some sanity from Brads family whereas Angie has all weirdos on her side including herself. It's great that somehow she's good with her humanitarian work and career. That's about it.

She was diagnosed with a serious personality disorder. Brad's haggard and unhappy demeanour over the years told how difficult and narcissistic she actually is. Billy Bob Thornton wisely keep quiet but his face spoke volumes. For someone with Borderline Personality Disorder, getting obsessive with a fantasy life away from home (the UN) becomes something you can act into for the public but punish those at home for. BPD means dangerous jealousy and egocentrism. Coupled with Narcissism, they can mimic the finer emotions of normal empathetic people like compassion and caring, but don't actually feel it. Hence the number of aid workers who have said that she knows her subject incredibly well (obsession) but she shows no understanding of the true aid worker's problems (narcissism). Hence also the surgeries to make her face perfectly symmetrical. She seems a troubled and delusional woman who refused treatment or rehab and famously said 'my acting is my therapy'. I fear for the children.

She is truly scary. The way she holds herself and looks down her nose, is like a queen talking down to her peasants. She doesn't blink enough and there is honestly NO emotion in her eyes or face in general. Could her recent surgeries have triggered some sort of mental problem? She honestly has the look and actions of a sociopath. Also, she has a lot of nerve to preach about the treatment of children, when her own children are currently being alienated from their father even though he's been proven innocent. It's emotional abuse. The hypocrisy is simply breathtaking.

Not bothered about children who suffer from divorce & being separated from their dad, is she?

Think she's lost all credibility after what she's done to her own children and the terrible way she treated Brad Pitt. She very deliberately created a large family, talked about security for the kids, married Pitt to give them extra security, she said - then turned round & smashed their family up. They'll be suffering terribly and so will he. Until now, she's consistently said Pitt is a "wonderful man and a wonderful father."

BITCHY LOONEY!

All I see is crazy in those eyes.

She is a calculated horrible person.Who by the way has no woman friends for a reason. She hides behind her ambassadorship.

yet, she wanted to take the kids away from Brad Pitt like he's some monster..damage control following judge rule?

She's a psychopath.  Always trying to look like mother Mary.  She's implying that Brad is an abuser.

c.r.a.z.y.

what a joke

She will never be recognised for any work she does she is just evil

She should put her mouth where her own children are. I would suggest it is they who need help after her behaviour towards her husband...and their father... surfaced.

Brad should have listened to her father, she's had mental problems from the get go..

Please take note, Angelina. This is how to be classy during a divorce.

Brad was cleared of all accusations made against him!
Raising your voice to ur children isn't child abuse
It's called discipline!

he's just an evil nut job...never liked her!

Get a life you can't even look after them properly

last person you should listen to

 She is an idiot

You did Brad Pitt a favour by getting out of his life.

She's a complete and total bitch... unfortunately Brad Pitt learned the hard way

She doesn't look radiant she looks cold & heartless

Brad is better off now.

Oh please she's a nut case

She looks psychotic!!

Lord she needs to disappear. I'm sure the son needed a good smack on the face, or belt across the bottom. She and people who are sparing the rod are the reason why kids don't behave anymore and act the way they do.

You can't make Brad look bad.He didn't do anything. He is still human.Angelina the more you put hype to this the worse and more pathetic you look.

Many children all over the world are being abused by their parents. If she's trying to make Brad look bad for getting mad at his children that's ridiculous, even though verbal abuse is real big difference from parenting or correcting bad behavior.

Wow, she's exactly the person I've always thought she was.

With all the bad publicity, Brad walking the red carpet, and then going on to China I wondered when she would come out. She's so off mentally its sad. I feel sorry for Brad and when he eventually gets with someone I feel really bad for that person too. She reminds me of someone who cries "rape." Anything to garner attention and try to cast doubt onto her kids father. Mariah Carey, queen diva, even knows better than to do that.

Sounds like she's giving Brad lots of evidence for parental Alienation and emotional abuse.
If she's not afraid to speak publicly against their dad who's to say she won't speak privately to them and bash their father.

I had lots of respect for her charity work but she has stooped so low! She needs some parenting lessons! Lost all respect for her!

She's a parental alienator. Her actions against her children's father is child abuse. Any parent fighting shared parenting should be ashamed.

whatever... She's really trying hard to make Brad look bad...
She's really a real life Maleficient...

She's no Mother Theresa, that's for certain! People get ducked into that "big lips and "beauty" persona. No one remembers when she was with Billy Bob Thornton? remember she wore a vile containing blood as a necklace? remember her drug addiction? She's just your average weirdo, who somehow aquired higher status. Brad's not exempt from this bullcrap..... he's the one who wanted to be with a "pretty face".

She went right to be in the media she must want a job in the White House. She goes all over helping people as an ambassador what about her family.

Angelina Jolie acted in that Mr & Mrs Smith movie & betrayed her former husband to mess up Brad Pitts married life, now she is using the kids abuse accusations as excuse to move on with a new lover in waiting. What goes around, comes around.

I like her as a actress, but she needs to chill out on the abuse allegations , Their children are very aware of what is going on. Been proven there was no abuse, move on, do your charity work, and try co-parenting in peace with the man, you claimed to love and tore a marriage apart to have.

This women is a spoiled little nut case that hides behind charity, & causes. I mean look at her eyes, whole lotta crazy going on there.

Jolie is trying too hard to smear Pitt in a subtle way. She is guilty, a master manipulator, and wicked. Pitt should get sole custody of the kids and Jolie should get supervised visits.

Oh geez. I'm not sure I will ever look at her the same way again. I call BS on her claims of alleged abuse from BP against one of their kids. SHE is the one with the history of unstable behavior. I just feel sorry for their kids because they are the ones that will suffer in the long run.

Some people try to get the sympathy from everyone and also try to make people think others did a terrible thing. Some people are control freaks and wants everyone to be on their side of the issues, even if nothing has been proven, yet hahaha Not naming names

This is coming from a "Normal" woman who had human blood tied around her skinny neck and makes out with her own brother.,... that's incest to me!!! Nothing she says about brad will ever be as bad as how much of a freak she is

I think she should shut it already. Who is she deceiving now huh? I just feel for Brad who got messed up in all this her stupid drama and the kids.

Oh she's such a sicko, when she married Billy Bob Thornton, she would wear a necklace with his blood inside a vial around her neck lol she's weird, and something about her taking razorblades and slicing her fingers so she could get the blood in there lol, and she's making a speech on Crimes against Children, yeah ok

What is wrong with her? Either she's got something mentally wrong or Brad cheated (which is not true) on her so she's going after the most important thing to him....his children...

Is an attack trying to make people believe her. She's losing it big time! Wasn't she the one that said that if she found someone it will b someone that she trusted around her son Max. They have issues of their own and she is using the kids as bate!

Honestly this woman seems so pretentious. She acts as if she can't ever make a mistake as a parent and that's Freakin annoying

She's nuts. Always has been. Too bad Brad fell for her and got caught up in her wrath. He'll fight for his kids. And deservedly so. They're not just YOUR children Angelina.

Brad needs to SUE! It's defamation and the FACT that she just a few weeks ago she was saying "I won't cooperate"...well if he was really abusive and u wouldn't cooperate then it's your OWN STUPID fault ..& I mean every woman who pulls that crap not just Angelina

Something is wrong with this chick, she is showing her true mess up colors, Brad this is what you get when you think grass is greener on the other side, you get a cookie monster.

I see she's still trying to make herself look like the perfect parent, get over yourself, wonder who the next victim will be? Ladies lock your husbands up bc she's on the loose

How can she be a goodwill ambassador and child advocate when she promotes parental alienation? She would be the last person I would ask to defend children after seeing how she imploded her own family.

Marion Cotillard Says Shooting Sex Scenes on Allied With Brad Pitt Was Not Sexy

BY DAVE QUINN
NOVEMBER 17, 2016

Marion Cotillard and Brad Pitt share a few hot and steamy sex scenes in their new movie, Allied — including one in which their characters get it on in a car during the middle of a sandstorm.

But while the 41-year-old actress says the end result is “a beautiful love scene,” filming it wasn’t necessarily as glossy as one might think.

Swinging by the The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday, the Oscar winner asked Colbert to try to picture the situation.

“Let’s imagine you’re with your wife — in bed, or anywhere, like here,” she said. “And then all those people are watching. Cameras, like … 50 people are watching.”

“Do you still find it sexy?” she asked.

The point wasn’t lost on Colbert — but the 52-year-old comic had the perfect follow-up: “We’re all friends here, right?”

She also chatted about the film’s intimate scenes during an appearance Friday on the Today show, saying she tries to find the humor in the shoot.

“It’s always [an] awkward situation, but it’s also very fun situation, because it’s awkward,” she said.

Cotillard also addressed false rumors that she and Pitt had an affair while shooting the film, telling Matt Lauer, “I never take anything personally when it doesn’t concern me. And so I didn’t take it personally because I had nothing to do with these rumors or situations.”

The pregnant actress, who is expecting her second child with her partner of nine years, French actor Guillaume Canet, added that she didn’t let the rumors affect her during the shoot.

“No, I don’t give energy to this. And it was a wonderful, wonderful experience working with such a [visionary] director [Robert Zemeckis] and an amazing actor, so that’s all that matters.”

Marion Cotillard Speaks Out About Those Brad Pitt Rumors: ‘I Didn’t Take It Personally’

"What did you learn?" @MLauer asks #MarionCotillard about headlines generated during making of @AlliedMovie concerning her and #BradPitt

Marion Cotillard acknowledged rumors that she had an affair with her Allied costar Brad Pitt prior to the actor’s split from his estranged wife, Angelina Jolie, during an appearance on the Today show on Thursday, November 17.

The French actress, 41, told cohost Matt Lauer that the speculation about a possible romance with Pitt, 52, didn’t bother her in the least. “I never take anything personally when it doesn’t concern me,” Cotillard told Lauer, 58. “And so I didn’t take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumors or situations.”

Asked if the rumors affected her experience in making the romantic thriller with Pitt, the Oscar winner replied, “No. No, I mean, I don’t give energy to this. It was a wonderful, wonderful experience working with such a visionairy director [Robert Zemeckis] and an amazing actor, so that’s all that matters, you know?”

Back in September, Cotillard’s onscreen chemistry with Pitt led to gossip that their close relationship had played a part in the Fight Club hunk’s split from Jolie, 41. (As previously reported, the Maleficent star filed for divorce on September 19, citing irreconcilable differences.)

In response, Cotillard put the rumors to rest — and revealed she is pregnant and expecting her second child with her longtime boyfriend, Guillaume Canet — in a lengthy September 21 Instagram post.

“Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need,” she wrote. “Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment.”

Marion Cotillard talks 'Allied,' shooting down Brad Pitt rumors and 'awkward' love scenes

Randee Dawn

It's not too surprising when a leading lady and her male co-star fall for one another while making a movie (hello, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford).

But Marion Cotillard, who stars as a French resistance fighter opposite Canadian intelligence officer Brad Pitt in the new World War II film "Allied," insists that was not the case with them, and she didn't allow bogus gossip reports to get under her skin.

"I never take anything personally when it doesn't concern me," she said on TODAY Thursday of the whispers, which started when Pitt and his wife Angelina Jolie split in September. "So I didn't take it personally because I had nothing to do with those rumors or situation."

Pitt's separation from Jolie came as a surprise to many fans. Gossip reports said the 52-year-old actor had gotten cozy with Cotillard, who is expecting her second child with partner Guillaume Canet.

But she has insisted they were nothing more than co-workers all along, even posting a statement on Instagram in which she expressed the hope that Pitt and Jolie "will find peace."

In fact, she and Pitt did spend time as romantic partners — but only on-camera. Love scenes, she noted, have to be choreographed before the camera even turns on. "It's always [an] awkward situation, but it's also a very fun situation because it's awkward," she said.

And the native Parisian even praised Pitt for his French accent. "He did an amazing job, and his commitment to speak French and to be fair with the language [was admirable]."

In the end, Cotillard says she won't let the rumors ruin her experience on the film. "I don't give energy to this," she said. "It was a wonderful, wonderful experience working with such a visionary director and an amazing actor. So that's all that matters."

Marion Cotillard, Donna Karan, Bruce Weber, and More Attend Paramount Pictures and the Cinema Society’s Special Screening of Allied at iPic Theater

NOVEMBER 16, 2016 12:17 PM
by ADIL HABIB

The new iPic Theater in Manhattan’s Financial District played host Tuesday night to Paramount Pictures and the Cinema Society’s special screening of Robert Zemeckis’s latest film, Allied. Starring Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard, the WWII-era period thriller follows the romance of a French Resistance fighter (Cotillard) and intelligence officer (Pitt) who fall in love during an assassination mission in North Africa.

For Zemeckis, the movie is a love story he hopes audience members can relate to. While the wartime setting certainly raises the stakes, he explained, “The story has universal themes, and I think that is what ultimately rises to the top in this film.” While its stunning visuals and nail-biting suspense kept guests on the edges of their plush reclining seats, it was costumes by Joanna Johnston that stole the show. Those brushed up on their noir film history will see traces of Bette Davis in Now, Voyager, and Lauren Bacall and Barbara Stanwyck in Cotillard’s ’40s-era silk evening ensembles, trousers, and blouses cut perfectly for target practice and espionage. “This is a love story that could be sitting in any time period, so I designed the clothes so they were appealing to today’s eye as well,” Johnston explained on the red carpet. She was quick to add: “But the ’40s are generally a good look for today.”

For Cotillard—who stunned in a Rochas jacket and skirt and Gianvito Rossi heels—costume is crucial for getting into the role. “The costume is one of the layers of the skin of the character,” she explained minutes before the screening. The actress is careful to distinguish between costume and fashion; the former is about creating a world on-screen, while the latter is far more personal. “It’s a way to stay the unique you that we all are and to express ourselves with freedom,” she said.

After the screening, guests made their way to the Tuck Room upstairs to sip on Chandon and snack on lobster rolls and sliders. Those in attendance included Donna Karan, Valentino Garavani, Bruce Weber, Fern Mallis, Candy Pratts Price, actor Sebastian Stan, and models Anna-Christina Schwartz—in Alexander Wang boots and an Adrienne Landau fur—and Alexandra Agoston—in a vintage Yves Saint Laurent jumpsuit and Gucci shoes. What did they think of the film? “Brilliant. Heart-throbbing. Exquisite. Finally a movie that really takes to your heart,” exclaimed Karan. The room, buzzing with post-screening chatter, couldn’t seem to agree more.
