He didn't "take it on the chin." My opinion of him never changed. Always loved him, admire his film choices, and what he's done with PLAN B and the great, interesting and worthy films it produces. Her, not so much. The divorce move/investigation, "I love my family more," "drag everything private into public," looked like a p.r. move and made me side with him all the more. If it's true he wanted to live in one place with the kids, and not drag them all over the place, I'm with him.

She has planned out their lives to support her need for her “humantiarian” needs, instead of fostering their own individualist growth, so they can choose what they want to do and be happy. Since they have not been allowed to be part of a community- always carted around to support her professional ambitions- I suspect their social skills are very limited. A true mother provides stability, love and support for each of the children to be what they want to be–even if they chose a path that doesn’t get them media attention. Hopefully, the six nanies who raised them provided that foundation.

ACTUALLY being a good mother would be going out of your way to ensure your kids have healthy well balanced lives and relationships. marcia failed spectacularly, and angelina is following her footsteps.
