At some point of our lives, we all become hopeless romantics where we wish to fall in love the way they do in Japanese Drama. We want to meet that special someone that will make our lives go round and keep us floating on Cloud 9. However, sometimes reality strikes and we are left dreaming for these love stories to come true. Love stories like in dramas are written by hopeless romantics anyway, not all relationships become perfect.
There are cases, however, that these drama like love stories happen in real life and these couples become our inspiration to find true love. These couples may be our parents, our grandparents, someone we know truly close to our hearts. Others are public figures like celebrity couples. One happy couple that can serve as a true inspiration for many would be the marriage of Kitagawa Yujin and Takashima Aya. Kitagawa Yujin is a Japanese idol from the popular male duo Yuzi while Takashima Aya is a freelance announcer. Both are popular celebrities with heavily busy schedules.

Unlike the stories in Japanese drama, the love story of Yujin and Aya are very simple. They met six years ago and struggled at keeping their relationship through their difficult schedules and adoring fans. Furthermore, they have reached a point in their relationship where they have truly felt the need to start a family and be there for each other for the rest of their lives. There are no excessive expressions of love. In fact, they only surprised the world with their marriage registration after their marriage already happened. They even celebrated the birth of their first child earlier this year.
As simple as their love story can be, they also had a quiet and simple wedding ceremony at Misogi Shrine in Yamanashi. It was a beautiful union of two people who are truly in love and had their relationship survive many of the heartbreaks and difficulties of living a celebrity lifestyle. Maybe, the key to a successful relationship is keeping it light and avoiding too much excessive antiques to express love for one another. They had truly kept their relationship intimate where even if they have their relationship public where it is known by the entire media world, they have truly kept their relationship private by keeping important details to themselves. Being in a relationship is all about being together, anyway. It is more about who two people are to each other than what the relationship is to onlookers and spectators.
For the couple, the most important thing is that they are together to “support one another, share with each other and continue smiling together”.
