In the World War II thriller "Allied," Brad Pitt plays a Canadian intelligence officer whose wife might be working as a sleeper spy for the Germans. But he soon learns there's something worse than her possible betrayal — the consequences of it.
TODAY has an exclusive first look at the kill-or-be-killed (or maybe both) predicament.
"If it is proven that your wife is a spy, routine procedures in cases of intimate betrayal will apply," a commanding officer warns. "You'll execute her with your own hand. And if we discover that you are an accomplice in any way, you will be hanged for high treason."
Though Pitt has few lines in the clip, the look on his face as the grim reality sets in speaks volumes.
